OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #18

Assuming that the family members were all involved in the family businesses one way or another, it would seem that Crsr & Gary were at the "office" and Kenneth kept the bankroll. The perp knew that any one of them would point a finger at him, so they all had to go - one after the other, all the...

OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #18

I have thought this all along. A single man with advanced training, familiarity with the illegal operations, already indicted for murder and raging on steroids... although he may have an unwitting sidekick who inadvertently provided the weapons. Now that would open a can of worms wouldn't it...

OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #18

No, the only potential witness is a 3 year old, and I don't think the perp would have allowed the child to live if he witnessed anything...

If not hired, certainly experienced. They would already know the caliber of weapon(s) used, and I imagine they have a pretty good idea if it was one or more perps. There have to have been some kind of tracks left around the scenes that would help determine the vehicle (truck, atv, motorcycle)...

You are correct, it was Cyril Wecht, the forensic pathologist and lawyer who has served as a consultant on numerous murder cases, who said it was "personal but professional". http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/05/21/inside-rhoden-investigation-scientists-work-cops/84433990/

I've been going back and reading news accounts from 4/24. One of the things I find very strange is that LE has given absolutely no profile of the perp except to say that the killings were executed by a professional. I understand why people might say they are keeping close because they already...

Me either. I just never read the official quote by Jill Del Greco - it actually sounds diversionary... like saying you don't know what a gamecock is.

When questioned about these seizures in connection with the Rhoden family killings, DeWine demurred from calling the 2010 and 2012 cases cartel-related, but maintained they were linked to Mexican organized crime. “The planting methods and encampment styles were similar to other Mexican...

I've had the feeling that KR was the "bank" site - and that CRsr took a lot of shots, and maybe believed the charming liar who told him he'd spare DR and the kids, before CRsr directed him to the money. At that point his only hope would be that KR would hear him/them coming. And he should...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/06/09/ohio-massacre-investigation-reaps-few-clues/ Nothing new, which is making me even more convinced that CYA is involved on a major level...

What if the stopping the regeneration of undesirables is just a passing justification in the mind of the perps - who really only cares about having his/her needs met in the moment. What if killing 8 people was simply the most convenient way for this person to walk away with what he/she wanted...

I definitely believe this is a possibility. For someone who knew what the family business was about to chat her up and find out details... and then fear for her life while knowing who did it. The thing is, I am convinced she told the police everything she knows.

I agree, if it was as easy as one of the obvious family members they would have cracked the case by now. None of them appear to be sophisticated enough or even estranged enough to murder cousins, sisters, friends. I have two sisters, one on fb and one not (political differences) I hang out...

I have an LE short list too - that's what I was really asking. I would think it goes with the territory.

In regard to this dislike, do you think that grow operations in the area would be paying protection money to LE?

If the shooter(s) wore tactical gear, including a mask, they would be able to strip down and bag their clothing in the woods and wash off in the pond - I always figured they might be looking for that at the pond.

So the killer(s) could have accomplished the crimes in under 2 hours... that's allowing for torture time spent with CRsr... Also, if killer was waiting for DR to get home because she was a "kill the messenger" victim and so, therefore, were her kids, she may have been restrained (soft tissue...

Maybe he and Gary knew something was up - maybe they even arranged to meet the perp(s) at the "office" trailer?

For 94 % of us it would be unthinkable. Whoever did this doesn't think like a neurotypical.

I never suspected Reader - I agree that he's got a mess on his hands - who does he answer to? Who does that person report to? Would they have the power to make this go quiet and fade away? I am not being antagonistic in any way. I am just asking if there could occur a situation in which...
