You’re incorrect. For that model Lexus SUV, the LED bulbs in the tail light are RED. There are YouTube videos demonstrating the exact same tail light and what it looks like when the red lens is broken off. It still shines red because the bulb is red. IMO

My guess is the geofence was not particularly helpful to the prosecution or defense - and it could have been used to undermine both of their cases.

I guess what I’m really saying is that I would have been much more confident in a guilty verdict if the jury had come to that decision after hearing all of the evidence that was improperly (IMO) excluded.

30 days to file a notice of appeal. They can’t actually file their appeal until the transcript and record are completed. It’s going to take a while.

I’m not even talking about Odinism. And the jury may well have come to the same verdict if the defense had been allowed to put on their case. But IMO it was reversible error to exclude it all whole cloth.

There will certainly be some lively appeals, and unfortunately for the state, the defense has better grounds for appeal than most cases. I fear we may be doing this all again.

I still have some trouble with this verdict, but I admit I’m probably biased towards my own perception. I can see how the jury came to a guilty verdict, but I wonder if it might come out differently if the defense had been allowed evidence of third party suspects. I still do not feel...
