They haven't got a cause of death. It could have been accidental - for example, she could have gotten into cleaning supplies. I suppose it could have even been an allergic reaction (would that show in an autopsy?) and parents here illegally didn't know what to do and panicked.

Also possible that he could have been on his way to a drug deal - either buying or selling. Not that something might not have happened somewhere along the way (hot car?) but I wouldn't assume he was out on a mission to kill the baby and dump her body.
