My husband usually calls me at least 4 times before he flies anywhere. Even when he goes to a training area that is out of phone reception he will call just to make sure we are all fine before he has no reception. Even if I have spoken to him that morning and again an hour before.
I feel so desperately sorry for the Captain's wife. She must have such an urge to lash out and defend her husband but it probably being kept quiet. I imagine the doubt must creep in a little but then the guilt she would feel, ugh. Either way, she has lost her husband.
If I had to guess I'd say +7. Perth is +8.30 and this map tells me that that time zone ends right on the coast of Perth.

I think the weather in Perth/Pearce was terrible but that they were expecting goo weather at the search site. But then I also heard that there was a lot of lightning at the search site too.
Yes, this is what I always say to my husband. We are SO incredibly lucky- we have all of the information of the world at our feet, it is ours for the taking. If you can read, if you have access the internet, there is no excuse to be uneducated, narrow minded, uninformed.... If it is knowable, we...
Who cares? I'm sure the family do. They are both horrible things to print. That might be what you would like, but it is disrespectful to call it that, especially without any evidence that that is what happened.
I think a lot of people see conspiracies in situation where they simply just don't understand the ins and outs of a situation. It is easy to see a conspiracy in a plane crash when all the experience and knowledge of flight you have is from sitting inside the cabin eating stale food.
Or he called a sat phone? That would be really suspicious and I assume hard to trace right away. NOT that I think he did. I don't think he is suspicious at all.
If I d to take a guess I'd say kit=equipment. He's saying their having trouble keeping tripods, those sunshade things, etc up? Don't know, but that's the only thing I can think of. I wouldn't say it is generally Aussie slang.
The distance from Pearce to the crash site is about the same as a flight from Perth to Darwin. That is a lot of travel time each day. I think off the coast of Perth makes it is close to Perth, when it really isn't.
Thanks for your expertise Derryn! I think you've done a great job answering questions while not over committing yourself to theories and blame.
If you can find a way to post the PDF I'd love to read it. I'm currently watching all of the Air Crash Investigators I can get my hands on much to...
I think they probably know for certain. Australia is funny like that, we don't usually have daily press conferences, or get drip fed information. Stuff is usually announced once all the facts are known. I'm surprised we got a press conference just for "could possibly be related".
