No way are those PUD survey markers. That would be too big of a coincidence that they are placed exactly where the LE investigation is.

They may have thought that they pushed her out far enough that she would float away but the water level dropped and she was beached. That would explain why the police tape went so far out into the water and why they brought in divers.

Maybe the killer did jump on a Link bus after ditching the car at PC.. Also, I think it was stated earlier that JF did have a friend with the initials CC, but that person was determined to have been in prison at the time of the murder.

I thought I read that a phone will still ping even if it is turned off as long as the battery is still in. Also, didn't dogdad or someone say it is impossible to positively identify a text/call as being received/placed at an exact location? (i.e., boat launch).
