I agree, and posted similar thoughts and call for restrain regarding post content before your 'outburst' (which I don't think it was, but like the others I admire your capacity for apology). This is an open forum. People can read posts without being a member. It has been obvious that some...

I'm concerned that some of the posts on here may breach laws on libel/slander (can't remember which applies to written and which applies to verbal statements). Yes, we're all trying to get to the truth and help the investigation where we can, and I know a lot of what is written is opinion, but...

Depends what you mean by prevalent. Maybe it is in London but I don't think you can apply that as a sweeping generalisation to the whole of the UK, and to all young professionals. As I've said before, if there were the slightest whiff of any drug use in this case the media would have made a...

Sorry, I used the wrong word. I was trying to get across that if there were slightest chance of a drug-related context then the media would have jumped on it like a pack of rabid dogs. Talking of which, yes, foxes do sound eerily like a woman screaming. I know of one instance where a rural...

If this were true (and again, not suggesting at all that it is) I suspect so of the less scrupulous members of the press would have been all over it in some drug-fuelled-orgy-tragic-death kind of headline.

Nothing so far to confirm this from police reports, though, although they may be keeping it quiet for their own reasons. On the other hand, if she was pregnant (and I'm not suggesting she was) paternity could easily be established.

Thanks, appreciated :) I tend to concentrate on the non-video news articles so had missed this.

Nausicaa - thank you for an excellent post. A great summary of the key unknowns. My only comment is where you made the remark in point 8 about the postmortem showing that she had been dead at the body dump site for several days. Please could you let me have a link for that information? All I...

enqueteur - I'm afraid I just can't agree with some of what you wrote. If the killer took the chance to remove the body (if we're assuming she was killed at home), which to my mind is a huge risk to take, then replacing keys would be a somewhat smaller risk (again, to my mind). Until we know...

Not me. I leave them in a bowl in a the kitchen (nearest surface to front door). In previous flats, I've had enough room for a table in the hallway so they tend to be put in a bowl on that. I think someone put the keys back in the flat but not in sight to a) buy themselves time for whatever...

I'm wondering if she went elsewhere in the building with her keys but not her purse (a party has been mentioned), died elsewhere and whoever killed her put her keys back inside the property, pulling the door shut behind them as they went. However, I'd need to know more about the locks on the...

Maybe I'm just reading it wrong - but to me that doesn't rule out that she left the flat to go elsewehere. To me it just says that they know for sure that she got home on the Friday. Thanks for the link aneurin, appreciated.:)

Please could you point to the police statement or news article where this has been stated by the police? I can't seem to find it. Thanks :)

I'm curious about this DNA they've found. Even if it is a tiny amount of, say, salivia, how do they know she didn't get it from being close to someone who accidently spat as they talked? Would the size and shape of the sample distinguish between salivia left as above and a kiss on the check...

My thoughts on this would be perhaps that he didn't want a drink and be pulled over by the police on suspicion of drink-driving. At Christmas the police are particularly vigilant for this.

A few more facts (supporting evidence quoted): Her jacket and boots were found in the flat, and one of her long grey socks is missing from her body when found. A 4x4 was seen near where her body was found on Longwood Lane. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-12117460 Her...

I was wondering - is it worth at this point stating the things we know for a fact at this point, like our own 'case review'? I'll start: here's the timeline from the BBC website, for a outline of events known so far: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12109085

Well over 700 posts though, and threads seem to get closed around 500 posts - and you're welcome :) On the topic of news coverage, there's been nothing on the BBC website for a few days now. Possibly because of another murder in Bristol. The police are examining CCTV footage from motorway...
