That is true. I forgot about the photo being dated 10/11/12. So do you think they called the jogger in to see if she recognized it? Maybe she had given a description that included the perp wearing a cross necklace.

bbm This is my thought as well. Maybe the jogger ripped it off in the struggle. DNA was recovered from the cross. It matched the DNA left on Jessica's backpack or body. LE knew the cases were connected. JMO

I would think it could be traced also. Just thinking back to when that youtube was posted...if it was AS & accomplice and it could be traced...could LE have gotten to JR in time? There is so much we don't know, of course. Just a "what if" situation running around in my mind...does no good now...

I'm not sure what a Chinook wind is but we definitely have some crazy winds here. Have to look up Chinook winds. ETA: Apparently, we do have Chinook winds. Chinook wind - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Chinooks also occur in Colorado, especially near Denver, where winds blowing over the...

I watch 9news and read other local tv news as well as Denver Post. I cannot remember anything about a cooler. I'm wondering if it was retracted as well.

Haha, the wind drives me nuts too! I live at the base of the foothills in CO and the wind just whips down the mountains and rattles my house all the time. It gets really annoying. I am from Dallas originally so I know the winds you deal with too. Equally bothersome! I am praying for those...

ITA. The crime rate is very low here. We have lived here almost 16 years and it's been an extremely safe place to live. I have even lived in "bad" parts of town here and still felt safe. It just seems like the things that do happen here get national attention and therefore, people around the...

I've not heard of any attempted abductions since AS was arrested.

JR struck a chord with me too. It might be that I am local or maybe that I have a 10 yo dd who looks a bit like JR. It might be that I was raised in a similar family situation with a mom and grandma taking turns caring for me and working opposite shifts to do so. But she also captured my...

Well, I obviously think AS has emotional and behavioral problems...just didn't want to stereotype all the Warren Tech kiddos as such.

I wasn't trying to argue with you. I agree that AS may not have done well with traditional schooling and sought out Warren Tech because of the different education it offered as well as the interest he has in forensic science. The point I was trying to make is that Warren Tech is NOT a school...

This is not what Warren Tech is.

While I agree it is an 'alternative HS', it doesn't mean all the kids going there couldn't make it in regular HS. As the other poster pointed out, some are going there to be trained in a vocation so that upon graduation, they have a career to go into. It attracts many kids who cannot afford...

I noticed the tint on his windows too. Even though I live here, I am not sure if that is legal or not. And I agree 100% with your last comment.

It does look like a tri-level. The basements are usually pretty small in these and would be finished. Sometimes, the basement is a bedroom but it could also be a small den. The crawl space would be accessed by a small "door" in the wall. I say "door" cause you can't walk through it...the...

Wonder what their basement was used for. If it was a partial basement, it probably wasn't that big. Maybe AS used it as a bedroom. Maybe mom didn't go down there very much.

I've seen a couple of different crawl spaces here in CO. None were accessed from outside the house. In our first town home we owned, the crawl space was the entire bottom of the house. There was a spot in the hall coat closet that you pulled up the carpet. There were about 3 stairs going...
