MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #4

The defense insinuated that JM was trying to separate JO and KR when the left the waterfall. So I’m inferring that the defense is suggesting they may have wanted to confront him or rough him up about something. Maybe job/police related, maybe related to CA. And when KR and JO didn’t separate...

I believe the screenshots were altered. The one on the right should have a date/day separator between the 11:55pm and 12:10am texts.

Nope. Not even a tiny bit odd to me. If my child were brutally murdered, I’d be in a ball sobbing under my covers for weeks and not fit to be seen in public.

Seems like the timeline for Ethan and Xana is notably vague.

That‘s my feeling too. Has anyone mentioned her SM accounts? I’m sure they are private now. Did she post that she was coming back into town and only staying for a short time?

LE needs to look at the sorority Insta account and see if anyone unfollowed after the murders. They should also look at any followers who are men with no connection to UI.

Description of the crime scene that they don't want the public to know about. That's my guess.

My opinion, the person that did this watched and waited. Had a connection with at least one of the victims in the sense that he felt rejected personally. I bet he also feels rejected by society. Maybe a customer from the bar or a neighbor. I don't see this person being a university student...

I do believe it’s plausible that the killer locked the bedroom door at least on the 2nd floor as he left. That is what happened in the Jodi Arias murder, I believe.

Regarding the 6 calls, no one at this time can say if they were made by KG (unless she left a VM). We only know that 6 calls were made from the phone. Have also drunk dialed in my youth. That doesn't seem strange at all to me.

My daughter is college aged and has lived with 6+ girls, with multiple bedrooms on each floor. Whenever we’ve moved her in, we’ve installed a strong keyed door lock on her bedroom even though she felt it was unnecessary. With so many people coming and going, we insisted. The investigators...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

Such a sad outcome. When Owen first went missing, the bluff and the bank of the Willamette were the areas I thought should have been extensively searched, but the PPB said he was walking in the opposite direction. It’s so hard to reconcile this with everything we’ve heard about Owen. I’ll...

Ugh! That makes it sound so complicated :( It does look like Consumer Cellular is a local company with their headquarters in Tigard. His parents might try finding someone at Consumer Cellular to lean on for help working through the complexity of the privacy laws. UP has a lot of connections...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

Phone carriers only keep texts for a limited time so my concern would be making sure the texts aren't deleted. I would hire legal representation ASAP to help preserve the account if the PPB haven't already done so. I assume that's possible since Owen's phone is part of a family plan, but I'm...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

“The last thing before her son’s phone “went dark” shows a series of group texts. Mary Klinger said she has checked with the groups of people her son would most likely be texting with, like the lacrosse team and his study group at school, and has not identified who her son was in contact with.”...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

It was only 6 weeks into the semester so maybe the Lacrosse team had just formed and they didn’t really know Owen?? IMHO, I have found the silence from his friends a little strange. I would expect them to be more vocal. He received or sent several texts in a group chat right before his phone...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

I’m not sure if someone else clarified or not, but there was not a scheduled lacrosse meeting. “Klinger told his friends he was going to a lacrosse team meeting. Police learned that there was not a team meeting scheduled.” Missing Portland student’s family frustrated with police train-hopping...

Oh dear. That quote doesn’t exactly elicit any confidence that the PPB are on top of this and can find Owen. Rather than wait for tips to come in, they need to be searching his computer, phone, and SM accounts. His parents must be so heartbroken right now.

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

Has anyone heard if the Portland Police have obtained warrants for his social media accounts? Something led him off campus on Sunday evening. The answer could be found in his SM. It seems like the police aren’t taking his disappearance very seriously. In the Mackenzie Lueck case, the police...

Found Deceased OR - Owen Klinger, 18, University of Portland, 6 Oct 2019

I will look tomorrow and see if I can find the interview when I have more time. From memory, I believe it could be this interview that was linked on the UP FB site: Kgw News @KGWNews
