You're right. There was no jury to impress. So I wonder why he was wearing his best Sunday suit when every other jail inmate I've ever seen attended their bond hearing in orange jumpsuits.

Then why didn't he do it before? As the SA said, he's had some 50+ days to do just that. If he wasn't man enough to do it himself he could have gotten one of his family members or other minions to do it. They haven't missed a single opportunity to 'share' his other talking points every chance...

Testimony is one thing. Using the platform to ambush the parents for his own self serving purposes is quite another. I could understand if this type of statement was made during a sentencing hearing. A bond hearing was not the time or place. Totally inappropriate! IMO, of course.
