Here is the story:
WASHINGTON — The man charged with the abduction and murder of 12-year-old Sheila and 10-year-old Katherine Lyon is expected to enter a guilty plea in the decades-old case, according to sources familiar with negotiations.
Lloyd Lee Welch was set to go on trial on...
A small article on Patricia Welch:

Bedford County, VA - The wife of a person of interest in the 1975 disappearance of the Lyon sisters is expected in Bedford County General District Court for her...
My hunch is that LE has evidence that they are trying to pull together to ensure a conviction. I wonder if there are any jurisdictional issues that make this more difficult. Who is going to claim credit for any potential conviction? Who will prosecute? Who was responsible for following up on...
I came across this article from over a year ago that doesn't have any new information but did have a few photos I don't recall seeing before. Just thought I'd share.

I totally agree and think it would be highly unlikely for girls from this family to be tempted by a LHM to drink or smoke pot. Especially knowing that there was another witness who said a creepy LHM was following them around making the girls feel uncomfortable. They certainly wouldn't be...
From reporter Angela Hatcher for WSET - ABC News....looks like Patricia Welch is lawyering up.

Doesn't the MVA (MD) or DMV (VA) have records on cars these suspects have owned? Could it be that the reason they wonder if the station wagon is still hidden is because there is no record of it being sold? What about insurance for the vehicle? There is more to this than we are being told.
To me the picture that was released today by the Sheriff's office is amazing because it backs up Marshall Dietz's sighting of Sheila Lyon on 7 April 1975. He described this exact car in his post and to see the POI next to it is incredible.
Interestingly enough, I checked out Marshall...
Does anyone know if RAW Sr. had any daughters? And specifically daughters who ever attended Catholic School or a school requiring a uniform? Just wondering if in Marshall Deitz's account of seeing Sheila in a plaid school girl skirt in the car in Manassas, VA could tie into RAW's using his own...
Here is the latest from the reporter:
http://www.wset.com/story/27329633/grand-jury-meets-in-bedford-in-lyon-sisters-case#.VF1JsyHEzBo.facebook
Bedford, VA – Grand jurors heard more testimony Friday in Bedford in the decades-old case of two missing girls from Maryland.
Sheila Lyon, 12...
I think what simplifymylife is saying makes sense and I agree with you about mdeitz47 likely having seen Sheila that day in April '75. For this to have gone so seamlessly and to keep LE at bay for 40 years would likely have required preparation and planning. My only thought is that if this was...
This clip gives a little more information with actual footage of the Lyon home and the search conducted for the girls:

Amazing break in the case - it is huge news here in the DC area. My friends have been calling me tonight since they know I've been following the case so closely. I've learned so much from these threads and appreciate all of the hours people have put in here trying to crack this case. Let's hope...
This case is so sad and must be so heartbreaking for the family.
Personally, I don't think the parents were involved. After realizing their daughter was dead (shocking enough in itself) they would have had to come up with a foolproof plan to conceal their own child's body in a town in which...
