We know they found Kam’s damaged SIM card. IIRC it was reported he hadn’t used his phone since the 17th, Bryer’s last usage was the 12th.
But did they find the phones? I wonder if they used the cameras on their phones...
Wasn’t there a certain point when RCMP declared they were scaling back their search when they really weren’t? I seem to recall reading they did that after finding some of their belongings. But it’s all blurring together for me, really wish I had kept dated notes!
I’ll be interested to see the toxicology results. Total speculation on my part but I’d be surprised if KM and BS weren’t on drugs. You’d have to be out of your mind to do what they did and think you’re going to escape by hijacking a boat to Europe or Africa. Not to mention the sheer amount of...
I hadn’t realized that incident happened so close to an RCMP station. Yes, it is odd it took so long to report it but it’s such a messed up thing. It’s possible they were in shock. Maybe the person thought they wouldn’t be believed. Maybe they were so tired they didn’t believe it...
Either way...
Yep. When I first looked at Bryer’s insta his profile pic was just him. When I looked again it was a pic of him and Kam. I trust my recall on this because I had not seen a pic of the two together and I would have remembered one with Snapchat like filters since those filters make me irrationally...
No doubt! I have to assume AS is not her only client and she doesn’t have the time to monitor what he’s saying or where he’s saying/posting it.
I feel for the victims and their families. I also feel for the families of KM and BS. If we have all these questions I can only imagine what they’re...
I was one of those people who noticed Bryer’s IG profile pic had changed. A burner phone seems likely - they’d want to check the news on themselves. But then why wouldn’t they have used the burner phone to record their videos? Maybe the burner was dumped when they were dropping weight? Or burned...
KM and BS left a literal trail of garbage (candy wrappers, tags, etc) but bought gloves because... ???
I honestly can’t understand anything about this case.
Taken from the RCMP report:
Police checks revealed McLeod and Schmegelsky had limited police interactions [nothing of note] and no criminal records. Based on the known facts at the time, both males were considered missing and possibly further victims. Police Dog Services, Search and Rescue...
It is in the report that the RCMP have still not identified the bearded man.
A news article I read (sorry can't remember which one) stated they both shaved their heads. The Globe and Mail article stated that when they found KM he still had the beard.
Which leads me to speculate that if the...
Good points. I think I am trying to make sense out of something that is just completely senseless.
@tabitha111 I am not ruling out that sighting because getting stuck in the mud fits the style of their Dumb and Dumber joyride while wearing gas station cowboy hats but I do think the person...
I wondered about AS too but then I remembered an interview he gave in which he states the RCMP didn't contact him until a week after his son was missing.
I’m unable to snip and quote from @NJSleuth91 ... but in reference to the militia aspect I think, IMO, that BS and KM may have tried unsuccessfully to recruit others to join them. It’s possible, again my own thoughts, that the person who tipped off the RCMP that the two were capable of murder...
Less than 24 hours after the report was released and AS is already providing details that weren’t in the report. While he may be accepting of the facts the need to let us know KM shot BS in the back of the head seems to push his narrative that Bryer was just an innocent boy.
Would there have been cell phone reception in that area? That could explain not phoning it in right away... not sure why it took days to report but I’m sure that person was rattled. How terrifying to know now how close you came to death.
