OT, but I always think of Thomas Gooding's epitaph, which is on one of the walls in Norwich Cathedral, beneath a carving of a skeleton. It used to terrify me.
All you that do this place pass bye
Remember death for you will dye.
As you are now even so was I

Apparently, Yosemite Jane Doe was another girl called Patricia -

Did his stepdaughter really find the body? Or did he guide her in the right direction, ensuring she was the one that made the discovery?
Seems very suspicious IMO
An issue with the search seems to be the laws in Germany around CCTV cameras, you can't have Ring cameras able to capture neighbors leaving their apartments, people walking past etc due to the privacy laws here.
So many people are worried about her, her parents held a vigil outside the Mexican...
I'm in Berlin at the moment & this case is getting a lot of attention - posters up everywhere.
I can't find a thread about Maria on Websleuths.
There are more recent articles but this one is in English...
Reading this list is frustrating. Presumably, there would have been plenty of people who fit that description and knew the answers to many of those questions back in June 1980 when he was reported missing. Why weren't any of them interviewed then?

She said that they travelled home on the Metro together, the friend got off at Montparnasse but Diary stayed on the train, presumably her stop was further along the line? It seems she didn’t make it...
