MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #12

I’ve been passively reading all the arguments on X and YouTube, freekarenreaders vs absoluteguilty people! lol I think the ‘guilty’ people have such visceral dislike of Karen Read’s appearance and demeanour, skinny, harsh features, resting bface, sneering antics - using words she’s been called...

MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #12

“Higgins spoke of how he, Brian Albert, Kevin Albert and another officer had been in New York City on Jan. 28 to attend a police officer's funeral and drove back to Massachusetts…” I might have missed this little point in the posts here, but I think it’s really relevant that Jan 28, Higgins...

MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #12

I’m incredibly invested and can’t wait for the closing arguments! This is the most prosecutory and police bad behaviour that I’ve seen in a while and I was writing up a list of points that point to problems in the prosecution’s case but I got to 25+ and its just too many to post. Just as an...

MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #11

Finally remembered my sign in to get back on WS! Hi all! This Karen Read case is so infuriating, I remember reading an article about the case and thinking how interesting, she probably did it. But when my twxtter was going crazy about Jen McCabe’s testimony I started watching and have been...

Found Deceased WY - Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Petito, 22, Grand Teton National Park, 25 Aug 2021 #27

He walked out, he walked back into the restaurant probably four more times.” Thanks, NCA (please use INITIALS for names if people who are NOT the victim or POI) goes on in the instagram stories to state she's now been cyberbullied now and called an attention-seeker and of fabricating or...

Found Deceased WY - Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Petito, 22, Grand Teton National Park, 25 Aug 2021 #27

I transcribed today’s Instagram stories of Nina Celie Angelo (IG: Ninacelie) about her Aug 27, 1 pm recollections. She has obviously been interviewed by media - in a previous post from Fox News - but I think her stream of conscious story is probably the most interesting firsthand account after...

Found Deceased WY - Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Petito, 22, Grand Teton National Park, 25 Aug 2021 #27

Hello Websleuthers, It's been a while, but this Petito case seems so similar to other mysteriously dead/murdered women with an unstable male partner that it struck a chord, like that the endless Pistorius trial and a few cases I followed - Heyo and nice to be here again! I’m just posting about...

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

Open season for murder of anyone. Anywhere. With a gun. With grievous force. With or without planning. From memory six years means in 3ish years the convicted will be out on probation. Walking the streets. One of the highest rate of murder in the world, now upheld, even celebrated, by this...

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

That's only one year more than Culpable Homicide result. She's basically saying eh, murder, worth another year. Ridiculous. Tragic. South Africa, this has not been a good look, at all.

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

"it is no surprise that his pastor, Scholz [and someone else] have stated he is a broken man" Wow, it shows a great lack of intelligence to believe the least logical people available. "six years imprisonment." NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *sigh*

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

She can't bear to say, 'I got it absolutely wrong. I made an incompetent judgement.' That public outrage was in this correct and the highest court in the end actually agreed with the public and found it murder .. she cannot at all 'take into account the public' or [her own weaknesses].

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 7.6.2016

Thanks for posting all, finally got back, watching the livelink! - As others said it was fascinating to see Scholz as a defense witness and it absolutely clarified he's the Dixon of the South African psychology. His report was full of logical fallacies - like implying religious upbringing...

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 6.13.2016

Ugh. Re:the Sholtz (sp?) the head of Weskpoppies psych, remember I had a huge problems with the way he wrote and appeared to interpret his original report...and as the HOD of a department of Weskoppies, I am deeply concerned about their level of societal competence on any domestic or...

    Oscar Pistorius - Sentencing - 6.13.2016

Hi All & Cottonweaver, I'm travelling & on iphone but will try to watch online while trying to follow the thread here...because our commentary is the best, true. Incredibly curious about Masipa's new sentence and I also suspect a very dramatic Pistorius mitigation concerto later too. Thanks...

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #67 *Appeal Verdict*

My aggregate of majority of public social media reaction to the appeal court's murder judgement: 'good' and 'finally'. Also laughed at one response..."that's not breaking news"

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #67 *Appeal Verdict*

If you look at the extensive holdings of the Pistorius' clan, they have certainly enough funds for an appeal. They have aggressively defended him throughout the trial. Just their spokesperson's fees, constantly taking the media to task over certain articles and over the last year/s sending out...

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #67 *Appeal Verdict*

I thought it was interesting the Supreme Court noted that under the "glare" or televised international attention, Masipa conducted the trial in the correct manner. This may still leave open the possibility that witnesses were discouraged by publicity but it appears to hinder one avenue that...

Oscar Pistorius - Discussion Thread #67 *Appeal Verdict*

Congratulations to the prosecution, Nel and his hardworking team, they finally got the judgement of murder. Must be a relief too for police experts like Mangena and the rest of the people who worked on trial and appeal. Also thanks to all the posters who worked so diligently here, Fossil...
