GUILTY IN - Melinda Lindsey, 23, shot to death, Porter County, 16 Jan 2015 - #1

My DD turned 24 today. I cannot imagine losing her. My heart cries for Melinda's family and friends. So senseless. Sending peace and strength to all.

I can relate to that attitude. It's very common in abused spouses. You think if you can just love him enough, you can conquer his demons. Unfortunately, that never works. Poor Melinda. My heart truly hurts for her.

I don't think its been officially confirmed in MSM.

That is a very interesting idea. And very plausible.

GUILTY IN - Melinda Lindsey, 23, shot to death, Porter County, 16 Jan 2015 - #1

Melinda made the choice to stay with a married man. Unfortunately for her, it was a fatal choice. But just because she was brutally murdered doesn't erase her poor choice. It just makes it all the more tragic.

And Melinda was responsible for the choices she made. And she made the choice to stay with a married man.

How long should Melinda get a "get out of human decency" card once she found out SL was married? I'm sorry, but human decency goes both ways. I'm am sure that even at the worst of her anger, the ex never wished Melinda dead and I know she was horrified when it happened and hasn't posted...

I have no idea what you mean by this.

Sara's mother has publicly shared the missing poster on her facebook. I would think that would count as a plea to the general public.

Thank you so much for letting us know! You and she will continue to be in my prayers.

Well, until the family member tells me otherwise I will continue to try to find her. I'd never forgive myself if I gave up over an unsubstantiated report like that. Especially if something happened to her.

I am also praying for you and your daughter. What a nightmare!

I think I understand you and I can't disagree with you. If she was bored and lonely and living with her dad for the first time wasn't what she had hoped, she could have been vulnerable to someone who wasn't what they pretended to be.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? What choices indicate risk factors? Everything I've seen actually looks fairly dull. I'm interested to hear more from you.

I'm sorry, but unless you were present for the exchange between SL and his Ex you cannot know this anymore than I can. I can assure you, that ExWife says she did NOT agree to the dog being taken. I trust you on everything else you have said, but I can't agree with you on this. However, it isn't...

As I said, I just want her to have her dog back. I've never mentioned her by name or initials.

I know the ex-wife's name. I was just asking for clarification because I doubt the statements about the dog. And to who ever asked why the ex-wife isn't here to defend herself, she has NOTHING to defend. She is quite busy enough trying to take care of her child and deal with the fact that his...

I read it to mean, "in the county's possession." Or short for I the county impound lot. Having lived in the south for many years, that is just how I read it. YMMV and JMO
