Yes, my children loved him. He just came into my mind this evening when I was thinking about where Corrie could be. Just a theory, not very pleasant, but I suppose a possibility nevertheless.

I rather hesitatingly wonder whether suicide is an option here... Do you remember that bbc children's presenter a few years ago who vanished and was eventually found hanged in a rarely visited disused building? A sad thing to consider but it might explain vanishing and a phone in a bin.

Me too - can't thank or see thanks!

Speaking of young men disappearing on nights out, I know I've mentioned this a few times, but there's also Luke Durbin who vanished in very similar circumstances not too far away from Corrie. I half hope that in solving the Corrie case, the police might also solve that one. Like someone else...

We can discuss them, as long as we stick to what's been reported in the media. <modsnip>

Could I politely ask new people to look over our old threads before commenting, as well as checking our rules here? I know I'm not a mod but it's quite difficult to see the same things coming up time and time again when they've been discounted already. I really like the influx of new ideas as...

Absolutely agree. I have made this comparison before too.

UK UK - Luke Durbin, 19, Ipswich, 12 May 2006

This case is so similar to that of Corrie McKeague. A young man left alone after a night out, in the early hours, seen on cctv then vanishes into thin air. I do wonder if there can be a link. I'm interested to know why the police are convinced Luke was murdered and who the men were who were...

Thanks for that dc. I agree with others who say it looks like a woman. The figure seems too slight to be Corrie?

Thanks for coming back to share your thoughts about the search today, cotswoldemmie. I'm so sad that the family is still no further forward, hopefully something will come to light soon. Having read through the last few pages, has anyone reported the mobile that was up for sale as that seemed...

Just wanted to say massive kudos to cotswoldemmie for volunteering for the search - let's hope it finally brings some news for the family.

Can anyone point me to the video of Corrie conducting, <modsnip> Thanks! Haven't seen that one.

How strange... the person I knew died about 15yrs ago. I remember his mother was distraught. She was never the same again, I can understand why.

Absolutely, the not knowing must be hell for his family. I have two teens and cannot imagine how distraught I'd be in Nicola's situation. I keep hoping that they know more than we do too, although having seen the coverage I do wonder!

That's ok Maz! Sad story... unfortunately it happens more than we'd like to imagine - drunkenness and stretches of water are a bad combination. :(

It could be that they've found something to suggest he went into the river. A few years ago, a friend of mine vanished on the way home from a Christmas party. Eventually one of his shoes was found in the mud at the side of the canal, he'd presumably gone down the bank for a pee, overbalanced and...

I don't think it particularly matters if Corrie was gay or not. If he's been attacked by someone he was planning to meet, it makes no difference - either way, he's potentially the victim of assault. I am still lurching between a tragic accident and he'll eventually be found somewhere or...
