Found Deceased VA - Kathleen 'Katie' Barham, 32, Portsmouth, 27 May 2015

I'm just not feeling kidnapping or suicide with this one ...

Maybe it technically belongs to his stepfather?

IN - Hannah Wilson, 22, IU student, murdered, Brown County, 24 April 2015

I doubt that they "knew" each other per se, but when I read where she lived my heart sank. If he's a regular at Yogi's, her neighborhood bar, I think it's definitely plausible he could have seen her there with her friends and become fixated on her. He could have eavesdropped on them, or even...

IN - Hannah Wilson, 22, IU student, murdered, Brown County, 24 April 2015

The probable cause affidavit described the clothing she was wearing when found - sweater, leggings & sneakers. I believe it also mentioned no signs of sexual assault. Which makes me curious as to his motive ... I guess it could have been an attempted sexual assault, but she fought back & that's...

IN - Hannah Wilson, 22, IU student, murdered, Brown County, 24 April 2015

Map looks good to me - I went to school at IU and I love Bloomington, so I'm always drawn in by cases that happen there. This article mentions that her house was at the corner of 8th and Dunn: http://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2015/04/24/body-found-in-brown-county/26341067/ If that's...

CA CA - Neal King, 25, Oroville, 26 March 2013

Hmmm, strange case. The news articles say the business meeting was a transaction involving marijuana, but the facebook page set up by his brother says it was a deal involving property. Wonder which it is? I guess it could sort of be both, if they're talking about property that's used for a grow...

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

Not sure this means anything, but just figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. I've spent pretty much my whole life in this area, but never heard of this particular church until this case. As a non-Pentecostal, I wouldn't say it has a huge presence in the community. But that's just my perception.

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

I just wish we knew more about what Jamie and the kids did that day, other than being seen at 7-7:30 that morning. Did they stay at home all day until they went to the park? Did they go out anywhere - to any stores, to church, to visit any friends or neighbors? Did they make any purchases or...

True. I guess he was probably talking to someone on a different "channel" or maybe the editing in the video was just weird. Thankfully the caller seemed calm, I feel like I would probably be freaking out if that was me. But I'm a little high strung anyway. :panic:

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

Wow, I know 911 dispatchers are supposed to be calm and detached and whatnot, but that guy sounded especially deadpan about 3 dead bodies! Lots of long pauses ... like he didn't know what to say or ask the caller ... kind of had me shaking my head. Then the caller said that if they were real...

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

Well, of course the pastor doesn't think religion has anything to do with it! What else is he going to say? And I agree that he's getting too involved in this whole thing, seems like it could be a way for him to promote his church ... why else would he keep talking to the media? As for the...

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

I agree, the concept of a "bad" neighborhood is definitely relative. I grew up within 10 minutes or so of this area. The neighborhood is lower income, but I never thought of it as dangerous. I think anytime there are Section 8/public housing projects like around here, some people perceive the...

IN - New Albany: Mother, two children found dead in creek

Strange situation ... this caught my attention because it's very close to where I live. Sadly it's starting to sound like a murder/suicide due to some extreme religious beliefs :(

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

The do-you-or-don't-you carry your passport while traveling abroad decision can be tricky. When I was younger, I usually carried mine with me. I don't have a great explanation why, it just felt safer to have it ON me physically than to leave it in a strange hotel, especially when my hotel room...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #1

I italicized a portion of the quote that is confusing me (not that this whole case isn't confusing enough.) But I'm not sure why they think cuts/scratches/bruises mean that she was moved. If she was deceased, then bruising wouldn't happen, right? Cuts & scratches, sure, but unless I'm wrong...

    FL FL - Michelle Parker, 33, Orlando, 17 Nov 2011 - # 1

I'm confused about how she expected to drop off the twins at DS's at 3:18 and still be home to meet her 11 y/o by 3:30? It seems as though he expected her then, and was worried when she wasn't there. Could that 3:30 time be off? Did she forget? (I doubt that, jmo) Was she planning to call her 11...

Oh my Bessie ... does anyone remember the description they gave searchers of the ring Lauren was wearing?
