Not that it takes away from any of the article's good points, but author of the above op-ed piece, C. Killian, seems from a cursory online search to be at least a loose associate of John Burris. In fact, he endorsed him for local office, for whatever it's worth...

I also received this forwarded e-mail which requests forwarding it on to others, so I guess this is as good a place as any to do so: Just adding that above emphasis is not mine. Last names, e-mail addresses and contact numbers taken out.

Here is the forward I received. (Email addresses and phone numbers snipped.)

Yes, my friend was a participant in the last search group at Lake Elizabeth and the e-mails asked them to forward and spread the word.

A friend just forwarded two e-mails to me from the search effort team to find Hasanni who are hoping to spread the word. Would it be appropriate to repost those here?

One additional thought -- I wonder if the dogs traced from Hasanni's car seat TO the car door. Would there still be a (short) scent trail within the car if Hasanni had (God forbid) not been around for several days, and the car -- but not the car seat -- had been cleaned?

What gets me is that in one of his TV interviews, he said something like that JC was already out front and that he didn't even need to go inside -- and that he just motioned to her. Seems strange to me that he didn't call to let her know he was running late. She just anticipated it, or what...

Psychology. Though her shoe store job may seem below her, keep in mind that she was one of only 2 employees there and she was the manager. The plea from her camp to buy shoes before her firing last week mentioned a commission based job, and Shuz of Rockridge is listed online as pulling in nearly...

Not sure what this means, but it struck me that these search locations fall into two sweeping categories: 1. Places that LE has thoroughly searched (Rockridge, Coyote Hills, Don Edwards) 2. Bodies of water that are heavily populated (where a body would likely have shown up due to heavy...

We've confirmed from several sources that JC got a full scholarship to, and graduated from, UC Berkeley. I agree it doesn't fit her on-camera persona, but there are some interviews where she definitely shows a way more self-possessed, more articulate side. I believe the confused, disoriented...

One of the claims made by LR's camp is that there may not be a scent if Hasanni had been grabbed and carried off. I find this improbable considering it would make movement conceivably slower and more noticeable. I'm wondering though if there are any other ways to debunk this theory? Would a...

from: http://www.ktvu.com/bartshooting/20784604/detail.html I just don't understand why they are covering places police scoured. Police returned to Rockridge over and over again to ensure everyone was interviewed, including paperwork and asking to see backyards/sheds/etc. I'm all for...

Interesting article about last weekend's volunteer search: http://oaklandnorth.net/2009/09/05/no-clues-found-in-lake-elizabeth-search-for-five-year-old-galvanizes-community-but-yields-no-evidence/ It mentions that CB is employed by her father JB as a paralegal, and includes mention of JB's...

By the way, can anyone guess as to what is on LR's hat logo in this picture? Probably insignificant, but may tell us something else about him: http://findhasanni.com/images/P2090702.jpg

I'm not sure if this has been covered, but KGO (radio) had an older piece where they interviewed Cami Blackstone, the former Bay Area radio personality merimer mentioned being a "Big Sister" to JC. (Was she also the children's godmother, or was that someone else?) At any rate, all the KGO...

Just FYI, I was just watching older news footage (I believe from 8/15 or so) where OPD said they had 100 people out at Coyote Hills searching. I believe it's already been officially searched. I know what you mean about LR's arrogance. But remember criminals rarely admit nervousness, and many...

Just wanted to give an update. My wife and I had a long weekend with relative holiday gatherings, but we did manage to make it to the vigil this evening, and I will post a summary of that in the next day or so. A little less turnout than last week according to my wife, but largely the same...

We do know this though: - He told the Chronicle that he was "a computer engineer." Other stories have referenced him as a former computer engineer who had been laid off. - He was enrolled in medical assistant school at 38. Regardless of where or what his education was, or how little sense...

Yeah I think it could be helpful just to have in our canon of facts. Also, it may give us insight on travel time of his "anticipated" schedule that day (for instance, could he have made it from Palo Alto's Stanford volunteer orientation to his class on time, anyhow). Perhaps also we would learn...

One other note. I am not sure it matters at all, but is there any value in finding out which school LR was going to in order to get his medical assistant credential? I'm thinking it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. If anyone can think of a reason this might matter or shed insight, I'm...
