To be fair, I have never been to the Bloomington area. I really can't rule anything out. It's definitely possible the boys dumped her in the woods in the middle of the night and no one has come across the spot where they left her yet. It could really be that simple. For some odd reason the...

I completely agree with you. I just can't fathom how 2-3 drunk frat boys could have hid a body at 4 AM so well that it wouldn't be found by now. I don't think that in the state those guys were in they would have been coherent enough to write their own names on a sheet of paper much less come up...

I posted here a while ago, I am a fairly recent college grad, not from Indiana or IU but I know many people who did go there. I've always wondered what happened to Lauren and have come here a few times to get updates. Anyway - Am I the only person who thinks this theory, especially the last part...

Well, I do think theres a chance that it could have been one of the guys she was with that night, maybe someone who has been named in this thread, maybe someone else who is friends with these guys. But i don't think there was a "pact of silence" like some have guessed. I think maybe 1-2 people...

I posted on this board a while ago and have checked back a few times to see what the latest is... I still think this is what happened to LS. I think if the answer was as obvious as the last person she was with hid her body in a dumpster after an overdose, it would have been found out by now. I...

If you ask me, this sounds a lot more realistic than some of the other scenarios people have suggested. Other than that I think maybe someone else was called at some point in the night (whose name no one knows - a drug dealer? random acquaintance) to hide the body. I don't think all of her...

So basically...you think after Lauren left the last apartment she went to, was walking home, (or wanted to) and a certain "friend" (I'm presuming you are referring to someone she was with earlier) either met her at the door or followed her then raped, and killed her? because this person knew...

Is your impression that it was a friend that raped/killed her? or a random guy off the street? or someone who falls somewhere in the middle (acquaintance?) I happen to agree with you...I think someone hurt her and none of this was an "accident." Side note: An article someone posted claimed...

Obviously if it was her, she didn't make it from her own phone, the phone was at still at the bar the next day. So she would have had to use someone else's phone (a stranger's?)

The parents probably hired lawyers immediately because they want to protect their kids in a situation where they will likely be under suspicion for committing a serious crime, and they have the money to pay for it...I would have been more shocked if they hadn't all got lawyers right away. On...

You don't need to be a "type" to lose control of your emotions. We all have our moments and it doesn't make us weak or needy. I'm not trying to speculate...but considering Lauren was not with her boyfriend that night, she may have been upset over that. That's how girls deal with breakups and...

I am just flashing back to my own college experiences, thinking back to things I did, things my friends did, and so on. I didn't go to IU, but I think what happened to Lauren could happen to any girl in college. I remember the one time in college I had to walk home alone when I didn't live right...

I think you might be right. If it wasn't a random stranger then I could see this happening. Wasn't there some rumor Lauren was going around the bars asking people for drugs? She might have gone out and met someone alone at some point that night.

My guesses: 1) whoever she was with last was not coherent enough to realize letting a girl walk home without her cell phone, keys, wallet, and SHOES = BAD IDEA. 2) Lauren was an emotional, crying, hot mess trainwreck of a drunk. The guys all got annoyed with her, felt she was getting in the...

This is the thing that gets me: Lauren didn't have her keys or phone so how would she have gotten back into her apartment anyway if she had no way of reaching anyone who could have let her in? I think she started walking home but without her keys or phone she decided to walk to her boyfriend's...

Just had another thought. What if Lauren asked some random guy on the street when she was walking home "Can I borrow your cell phone so I can call my friend/roommate?" and that guy was a creep who took advantage of her?

My guess is that her friends might not be giving a 100% accurate version of the truth but I just don't think they are lying about the fact that they don't know what happened to her. I think the guys she was with that night are trying to cover up the fact that they let her walk home alone when it...

In response to OldSteve - my guess is that this is just a sleazy guy who went to Bloomington to try to find a hookup. He didn't go there specifically so he could grab a girl off the street and kill her, but this guy is absolutely desperate for whatever he can get. So once he takes Lauren off...

Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been following the case since Lauren disappeared a year ago and randomly came across this board. I've been reading through the posts and wanted to share my thoughts on what happened to Lauren. I am a graduate of another Big 10 school. A few years ago...
