If I remember history correctly, there's no contradiction between Bohemia/Austria/Czechoslovakia; the CZ Republic (that Bohemia was then part of) was founded in 1918, and before that, Bohemia was part of Austria.
Can't offer an explanation as to why, but you're not alone -- same for me. There was a forum update announced on the (past) weekend, I assume something was changed then that has this effect. Hopefully it will get fixed soon ;)
No, Eifer is the correct spelling. Eifee is not a form of that, but most likely simply a typo (e and r are next to each other on the keyboard). (I'm a native speaker of German.)
5 cats (had 8 cats at one time) ... oh yeah, guess I never introduced myself on this thread either: 35 years old (in a few days), living in Finland, mostly a lurker (I'm awfully forum-shy). Can't remember why I came to Websleuths in the first place, but I'm staying here for Anna's case.
I think it is just that for guests, the default is that they only see last month's posts; for logged in users, the default is that they see all posts. There's a drop-down box at the bottom of the forum under Display Options that even guests can change to see postings since the beginning.
I remember that one too, Hollywood, and I too think it was on DoeNetwork, but I just spent quite some time trying to find it and couldn't... maybe I'll try again later.
Finally I can help ;)
sort-of-literal translation:
"I have always strived for a sort of analytical seeing, so that I wouldn't do that just for the sake of seeing, but that it would include also reasoning about what is the system, that goes, instead of letting it go through the other eye."...
It worked last night, then stopped working when I clicked on a link to continue reading. (No, it's not my fault that it broke!)
The pages can still be accessed via the Google cache. I'll repeat my posting from the Anna Christian Waters thread:
It had worked for me when I first checked it...
It had worked for me when I first checked it, but while I was still reading there, it stopped working. However, the text of the page can still be accessed from Google's cache. This board won't let me post Google cache URLs correctly, but just go to www.google.com, enter...
HoT, while you're checking spelling variations... do you think it might make sense to check Prouty, as in post #37 of this thread, too? As I said back there, it's most likely nothing but coincidence, but I find that I keep thinking about it...

Just trying to help out, because it took me a short while to find it from Blogger's homepage ;)
