Just wanting to bring this forward and re-post as IMO SoCalBuck's below explanation of what it is that is so damning regarding Jodi admitting to that third gas can actually existing, rather than just the 2 gas cans she claims..

This explanation is a good summation of the logistics of having the 3rd gas can and what a difference it makes in there being 3 gas cans rather than just 2 gas cans as she claims..

So, for any/all who are questioning what/why the big deal with the whole admitting to the 3 gas cans rather than 2 gas cans..and why Jodi is so dead set on lying about the existence of the 3rd gas can due to it being the factor that will hang her.. BELOW SoCal gives a great synopsis of what/why the importance of the 3RD GAS CAN and what detrimental significance the 3rd can is to Jodi..

Hope that helps for any who are lost or confused about the whole significance of the 3RD GAS CAN'S EXISTENCE BEING PROVED!:)

Actually he didn't prove it, but showed that, circumstantially, she probably had one.

Pensfan, Thank you for your reply! Has Arias been diagnosed with any mental disorder? I thought that the juror question "did you ever seek help for your mental condition," and Arias' answer was interesting (Arias seemed stunned that anyone would ask her this question as if she presents herself so sane). I believe that she must fit the criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder. I do not understand why her thoughts of suicide would be important considering how common suicidal thoughts are. I think you are correct - Arias has never been serious about killing herself.

Arias thought about suicide - so what! Arias had no problem planning to murder and butchering Travis Alexander. If Arias wanted to kill herself - it seems as though she would be able to do so.

I do not believe that Arias is or ever has been suicidal - plus it seems as though it is not important considering suicidal thoughts are not uncommon, she did not kill herself, yet she did stab Travis almost 30 times, slit his throat, and shoot him in the head -- then she did her best to clean up her mess & get away with her crime.

People with Antisocial Personality Disorder actually have higher rate of suicide. Although Jodi clearly falls into this category, she truly believes she is sooooo much smarter than everyone else and she can lie her way out of anything. She has never been despondent because of those beliefs and was never serious about killing herself. She MIGHT be considering it soon though.

AND you put more gas in at Tesoro? You had a 3rd can didn't you? (cut to scene, Nurmi worried look, Its a comin)

Wha? Huh? Nurmi? Wha?

I just listened to Travis sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". It broke my heart.
I feel a sense of peace now. Which is good, because my blood pressure has been spiking to new highs watching and listening to this evil woman.

I will always come back to his music. She is "nothing" to me, and doesn't even deserve my anger. She doesn't deserve one thread of my emotions. I will try to remember that.

Can anyone help me? She keeps saying she didn't go out the bedroom door because it swung towards her, and would have been awkward to get around it.
Weren't there double doors to the bedroom? Why couldn't she go out the second bedroom door?

TIA

Another hypothetical jury question: What is the difference between being a *advertiser censored* and a booty call?

I didn't get to watch any of the trial today and I am crazy over that, but not nearly as freaked out over the fact that I recived a "coaching" today at work. During the coaching, the individual ACTUALLY told me they were trying to edify me! WTH? I wanted to scream Noooooooooooooooo.... I'm fairly certain this person is Catholic.

Hollywood could not have scripted this better.

JM had his plan of attack well honed with Nurmi unwittingly ending right where JM planned to start. "If you have lied some much before, why should we believe you now?

JM picked up on the cues from jurors in their questions. He had things in his bag of tricks and waiting until now gave them much more impact with the jurors. If there is one or two jurors holding out, the rest are going to just say that not a single word coming out of the mouth of JA can be believed and they will break down any holdouts.

Jurors were skeptical on the gas can story. JM must have loved that one juror who asked about the workers comp papers. Sure he could have brought some stuff up before, but he had to balance the big picture against spending too much time on what might be seen as obscure details.

Jury is definitely paying attention and taking their role seriously, as they should. There is a man dead after being viciously slaughtered and another person's life hangs in the balance. I would not want to be sitting on a jury with those responsibilities.

So pedophelia and DV will go out the window.

The stalker will be exposed for who she is. That's why a juror was asking about her previous breakups.

Wonder what next week will bring?

Toast.

Jodi didn't fill up any between Salinas and Mesa on her route to slaughter Travis. She used the 3 gas cans that she kept in her trunk. Previously Martinez calculated (in front of the jury) that Jodi needed 12 gallons to reach Mesa.

Yes. There are the 2 receipts from Pasadena, which show she filled up the car and the tanks.

the 3 tanks provided enough gas to get back to Nevada and on her "alibi trail" undetected by receipts or surveillance cameras....

NG is nailing it.
never thought I would say that again. Moo

I gotta ask... Is JVM watching the same trial I am? I thought JM was an absolute rock star and the biggest moment of the trial was catching her in a bald faced lie about the third gas can! Beth Karas is my hero and the only TH I trust completely!

Correct Minor. She got rid of that third receipt. But Juan still found it in her bank records. Luckily she was stupid enough to charge it and not pay with cash like she did down in Pasadena.

As I have pointed out previously, the mysterious 3rd charge to Tosoro in SLC for $20 does NOT mean she purchased gasoline. Tosoro is like a 7-11 - where snacks, drinks, and convenient articles can also be purchased.
I assume JA will claim she bought food at Tosoro for around $20.

but she will lie about anything and everything. These jurors have all had jobs and know this I'm sure. But she will stick to it no matter what. I don't know how JM deals with this level of pathological liar on the stand.

After her answer about the restraurant accident yesterday morning, I called Casa Ramos in Yrecka, CA. They are required by law to complete job-related accidents , fill out paperwork etc. I suggested that they turn on their computer and/or TV and tune-in to this trial. I also mentioned that there is likely a good chance that a Mr. Juan Martinez would be calling them! Sounds like his office called them.

The Attorney's (both sides) can have Investigators working non stop up until closing basically. In some courts they have a team of Investigators there and they are working on trials, looking things up etc. And the Attorney's have their favorite Investigators they call on and know well usually and they're finding clues right to the end if need be..

During these trial days as you can see, Rabbits come out of hats! And they surprise each other with things.

Nightmare to be on the receiving end of that :) thankfully their side was today

And right now nurmi's got his investigator going to that gas station to see what he can throw together that comes to $19.65!!!!!!!!!

Didn't she tell the shrink she saw Travis on the computer looking at kiddie *advertiser censored*?

I can't wait !!!

Matt, Matt.... Matt gave a damning statement to LE !
