I haven't seen the video. Reading is much faster. I have taken part in at least 1,000 depositions, either asking the questions or representing the deponent. When taking the depo., I loved these kinds of idiot answers. The deponent's attorney would be squirming and shuffling papers and making speaking objections and complaining about relevance and what ever he/she could do to de-rail the line of questioning. They all start sweating, ask for breaks, water, make threats of leaving, etc. because they just can't handle the heat. BUT as soon as you say - "we'll call the judge" oops - all of a sudden now they want to stay, "just get this over with now" and take no breaks.

Typical of people who are lying and are being backed into a corner from which they can not escape, foot in mouth and *** on face.

They could have called the judge at that moment and gotten a ruling. Well, at least we can here.

I can't wait to read CA's depo. Where is it?

But it will be different in court----right? He won't be able to sit there and act like this?

I think he will still lie, but he can't act so belligerent on the stand or the judge might pop him with his gavel.
:gavel::gavel: :spinner:

Why on earth is he being so defensive about every single question??

I said it before, I'll say it again ..

George Anthony

The face of a LIAR ..

:behindbar

George say they have torn apart his family? As he threatens to walk out.

How dare him. Casey tore apart this family, nobody else. And the apple fell right under the tree.

Is there some type of legal ramification for George's blatant lies in this depo?
All they have to do is cross reference his interviews with OCSD and the FBI.

Yes, the ramifacation is that this depo.will be shoved up his *** at trial.

I can't believe all the lawyers in that room overlooked the fact that technically, George A did NOT take the oath he was asked to take.

In answer to this question, "Do you swear the testimony you are about to give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?

George replied, "I will." He did not say "yes," or "I do." He said "I will," which then begs the question, "when will he do that? How often will he do that in this deposition?

I know, I know--we can presume or assume he meant yes, but lawyers aren't supposed to "presume" or "assume" anything. They're supposed to look for loopholes and either plug them up (ZG's team) or walk through them later (BC).

Call me paranoid, but George has sworn a lot of these oaths already, and I think he deliberately answered evasively and incorrectly.

I'm a tad impatient for that one myself.....thanks for the insight into depos...never been to one--so this is new to me---but I would guess telling the truth....??? can something happen due to the lies he has been telling during this?

what I found interesting is how long it took him to answer...that look on the video .........:bang: Can "I will" really do them in?????

George says he and Cindy haven't made any money off 'this story'. "I'm not into that."

*THUD*

I need a nice soft mattress... I seem to keep keeling over...

Damn, no joke- over and over and over again...

Yup, he out and out lied.

I must say I sort of feel vindicated because all through this with everyone saying GA is the only one who cares and who felt so sorry for him after his "suicide" attempt. I thought I must be a mean heartless person because I just thought he was a better actor than the rest of them.

He had so many people feeling so bad for him and saying it is CA fault, she controls him. I have always seen a mean man with a violent side who does just exactly as he pleases. He's just sneakier than CA and LA. But boy oh boy his true colours are showing here.

I hope they cross reference his and CA previous interviews with these and each others. Should be lots of mismatched info.

I say charge the 3 of them for obstruction and let them sit in the pokey for a bit, see if their memories dont' improve.

Why on earth is he being so defensive about every single question??

I thought the exact same thing!

I think it's because he has to do something outside of AnthonyLand, something he does not want to do and something he is forced to do.

In AnthonyLand, only CINDY makes the rules.

But now, he is faced with a grave reality that Cindy is not always the queen.

I see a lack of faith.

George and Cindy appear to me to lack faith, faith that the truth always brings the best results, let go and let God, kinda stuff...imo

I just sit here, shaking my head, struggling with how these Folks can NOT think of poor Caylee while answering those questions, why is it always about protecting Casey? At any cost, it seems...

I haven't been able to watch much for all the skipping, but oh my.

Depositions are no picnic and I know he doesn't want to be there but cripes, his attitude is ridiculous. He's sure not doing anyone any favors acting like this.

Wow. Just started watching this. I've sat through a couple dozen depos in custody and child abuse cases, including the parents ACCUSED of child abuse, and even their parents. And I have NEVER seen anyone act half so b*tchy as George is acting.

I just want to reach through the screen and SMACK him! :furious:

at this point, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if George attempts to take the blame for Caylee's death -

$2 Mop - the best description of this man I've read yet!!!!

Bold is mine-

No doubt, I've been saying that all along. He will throw himSELF under the bus if that is what mommy wants him to do. Boy, I wish I'd been a fly in the backseat on the ride over in their car- I bet she was at him and at him and at him - needling him to get him all riled up and ready for a fight. Dude's a coward. You are a coward, George!
