How does Pat Brown know that Haleigh was killed? Or that Misty was responsible for her death? I know she's a 'famous' profiler, but does she know something we don't?
I'm not sure I am ready to go down that path of TN being capable of disposing of her grandchild's body. That would indicate someone who is completely devoid of emotion... no love, no caring for their own flesh and blood. I haven't seen that personally, but not saying it's not possible... just not very probable in my eyes.

To my knowledge Pat Brown has never stated she thought Misty was responsible for Haleigh's death. From what I have gathered she thinks Misty is covering for Ron C.. And Ron C is the one responsible for whatever it is that happened to Haleigh....
Also, I am in total agreement with her and her views concerning TN and the part I suspect she may have played to help cover for her son..... IMHO..It's quite possible TN and members of her family arranged for Haleigh's remains to be disposed of in order to keep the truth from ever being revealed...I also suspect that in reference to herself and perhaps GGMS the task was completed in a manner they believe to be appropriate, eventhough it was an act that proved them to be totally selfish...Their ONLY goal being to cover for Ron... No regard, none whatsoever for Crystal,Marie or Haleigh's family on her mother's side.......JMO

Does anyone know if they have checked the foundation of this addition?

Darn I wish I lived closer, I'd be in that area day and night. But I'm nuts!
:woohoo:

4Jacy,
Just a wild thought about your question.
Could someone have torn a section of the floor out of this old trailer, and buried/hidden something under it?

By building an addition on this $3,000. unmovable old trailer, maybe someone wants to move what was hidden under the trailer, to the new addition and pour the floor of the new addition with concrete...

But, seriously by looking at the pictures of that area, there seems to be many places, woods, swamps, bridges, rivers & lakes that would be quicker and easier places to get rid of something....rather than burying it....jmo

Read the entire article again. She said it in her comments about Teresa.

quote:
Pat Brown: Doesn't every girl wish she had a boyfriend mama like that? Gosh, you can cheat on her boy, endanger the children, get her granddaughter killed....and she still loves you. Misty is a lucky woman.

...partial quote
She had the sweater with the Sheriff's emblem, white pants and a diamond pendent necklace on that morning.
I am suspicious enough to say she wore the sweater to gain entrance to Ron and the MH.
Getting there at the same time as LE and confusion abounding, it was a cakewalk. She is the ultimate helicoptor parent and keeper of the gate, that being her son.....

Whisperer, Hmmm!
Do you know of any grandmother that would get a call in the middle of the night, that their grandchild has been kidnapped, get out of bed and think to put of their diamond necklass, before driving to the childs house?
I DON'T!

I read it, but I don't think Pat Brown believes Misty is the one who killed Haleigh..JMO

If the police didn't check this (the trailer) they are truly the "Keystone Cops."

Well, and this is DISCUSTING but a chipper (sorry) and then disposing of little bits here and there. (I know, I threw up too, sorry.)

Thanks Whisperer and hi! :)

Here's why I asked going back to the original police report and I'm not sure what to make of it "yet".

The Police report list her as working for Alachua Sheriff I believe which would be another discrepancy if she wasn't working. Then we have the Sheriff's jacket that morning on video. Then we have the wrong city listed for Rita Lane. From memory it's all listed in the original Police report.

I'm having to mull all this over awhile, I've still got a case of hmm's from the wrong city listed for Rita lane.

If my memory serves me right the police report says city listed for Rita Lane is Pomona Park. If I am not correct on this let me know. Fill me in please, what is the correct city for the Rita Lane address?
TIA

Hi Twall, the Rita Lane address is listed in Pomona park per the police report, it is verified on address verification as being in Crescent City.

I think we need a City map for the area of Putnam County with boundary lines on it.

Your wish! :) This image is from Putnam County GIS mapping, the pink is Pomona Park, the Red circle is Rita pain. Rita is not in Pomona Park, it's in Crescent city. Sooo how and why did that happen?

Thanks Peli...You are fast..So we now have a fact that Pita Pain is in Crescent City. You are the best!

Of all the players in this mess, TN is the one with a real estate license. Has she made use of it? She should certainly know where the place is located.

About the eviction..I suspect she vacated when she knew the case was going nowhere and rc needed her. They just rented though about May of 2009. Maybe she didn't know the case was going to take so long and abandoned it. Maybe just one of them were making the rent payments. Maybe travel back and forth was too much and they just abandaned it and moved to Putnam County....all guesses on my part.

I agree that I have difficulty picturing TN digging a grave or throwing a body in a dumpster or to the alligators etc. If Misty did something to Haleigh, no way she would have asked her grandmother to help with the dirty work. I don't know how far she would go to cover for Ronald but it seems pretty extreme to me to suggest he'd have asked his mother to hide the body. I dunno... I can better picture him hiding the body himself and asking her to lie for him to help with the alibi, but in what kind of relationship can you call your mother and tell her, "hey, I'm at work now, please can you drop by at home and hide my daughter's body?" Maybe I've just got an imagination deficiency but it seems very unlikely to me. Are there cases in which a mother has helped to do that for their adult sons? I can't remember any offhand.

Still, I'm not convinced that everybody who's ever helped to hide a body is completely devoid of emotion and caring. There appears to be a serious potential for serious dysfunction but still, often people are shocked when they find out what the people they thought pretty normal have done, saying they wouldn't have believed it of them. It may not always be just a front and in reality they've been horrible abusers and full of evil all their life; I think sometimes even pretty normal people may end up taking part in or covering up crimes in extreme circumstances.

Not that it's ever a right thing to do, but sometimes it might be that even though you used to love the person who died very much or at least passably well, when he/she dies you are full of grief but because of whatever happened you're also overcome by an instinct of self-preservation and fear or a misguided parental protective instinct that takes over. You're afraid that you or someone you care about is going to end up in big trouble, maybe even looking at the possibility of death row, and somehow among all the conflicting emotions that fear takes the priority over the desire to have the deceased properly buried and honored and the desire for justice and truth to prevail. They might rationalize that dead is dead and nothing will bring them back and we didn't mean for this to happen and what will happen to the other kids if their dad is in jail for life, and they've already lost one loved one, they don't want to lose the perp as well, and fear the shame and notoriety for the whole family if everything is revealed etc. Maybe those are not admirable emotions but I'm not sure having them completely rules out the possibility that they might have loved the deceased person and had a host of other human emotions as well.

You may be right, thanks for explaining it all so well. I am not discounting that this scenario is possible... it very well could be. I just have a difficult time believing any mother or grandmother could do such a thing, but then I realize that some cases just shock me to my core, every day. Anything is possible, and that sounds so trite, but it's true.
I also realize that most of us here don't really know these people very well. Most of us only have what facts we know coupled with the interviews and videos we've seen to go by... and for me, it's only been recently that I've been able to view some of these videos because of slow dialup, and now I have satellite internet. Yay! I know some have seen things that I haven't up until lately.
I guess what I'm trying to say is... I will wait to see the proof before I will embrace that theory 100%, but I might not be totally surprised if it turns out to be the truth. Shocked, probably, but not to the point of saying no, it can't be. At my age, being shocked could be a real upper!!
I've lived a whole lotta years, and been down a whole lotta roads... I've learned that just when I think I've seen and heard it all... something else comes along and throws me for a loop.
Again, thanks for the well-written reply. It's why I love ya... you do have a way with words!

Please take a look at the replies and visitors columns across from TN's name. She has much more activity then any other thread. Wonder why people are so curious? Hmmmmm....:croc:

I did a search for Rita Lane on the prop. appraiser site and got zip.
I searched for Leslie Loop (which is a street over from RL in the trailer park) and Rita Lane pops up! Both LL and PL are classified as being in PP. Pettit Rd. (which is the road you turn off of to get to RL and LL) is classified as being in CC!

This map Papa posted downstairs (thanks Papa-I borrowed your map!)
shows RL to be in PP.

This is so dang confusing!! :banghead::banghead:

I didn't want to use allot of space but I do believe Donjeta and I have the same thought.
It is not right to cover up, and dispose of a deceased child!
BUT time and again, we have read how desparate some people are in other cases.
IMO,TN didn't bond or raise her own 2 children.
BTW we NEVER hear from Crystal (RC sister!) why???????
TN wanted to protect her mom & son at any costs.
Haleigh was becoming a handfull to TN.
IMO, Haleigh was NOT TN favorite.
Turner's syndrome children can be agressive in their temper tantrums.
They are so full of life! KWIM???
TN didn't even want to babysit her grandchildren that night.
TN was willing to pay a drugged up teen to babysit.
TN KNEW ALL about the fighting going on and everyone around her grandchildren.
I am VERY suspicious of TN for so many reasons..............in the cover up part.

IDK which town the address is considered to be in, but it's a lot closer to Pomona Park than Crescent City:

Is the point that the address is continually screwy because of zoning issues that TN has no control over more important, or the fact that she uses that address as her home base, when it's been clearly proven (THANKS, WHISPERER!!) that she was not, in fact, in residence at this address the night/early morning that Haleigh disappeared? That's what bugs me.

Is Crystal TN's daughter also? Are Ron and Crystal half siblings or full? TIA
