2010.04.30 Casey Anthony: Friday hearing

I'm going to have to go back and watch the videos of Casey as all I could see was her ponytail. I'm pretty short and couldn't see everything but it didn't look to me like she ever turned around to acknowledge her parents..did anyone else see if she did?

No she did not- Cindy blew a kiss and mouthed 'I love you' but Casey was already walking to the door and did not appear to even look in their direction.

Oh yes, we're SO GLAD court was up to YOUR STANDARDS today, Cindy. Because that's what it was all about, making YOU happy. That woman just disgusts me. Who does she think she is, the Queen of England?

We'll see if she still has hands, for that matter arms, by the time the trial is over. I mean if she can't chew gum, she's got to chew something, right? And those nails aren't going to last long if there's any left after today...

And Baez can't find the proper attention for this case with a flashlight and two hands. Why CM has not booted him out and taken over, I don't know. The man is going to have a coronary or a stroke if he keeps sitting there silently and watching Baez bungle up this case more and more.

I am hoping that Baez will stay- he has absolutely no skill, no tact and NO insight into how inept he is. That is a good thing!

Judge Belvin Perry said the jury in the case likely will not come from Orange County, but he doesn't plan to move the trial either.

The judge also took issue with the fact the defense still hasn't talked to the Justice Administration Commission to go over how much the case will cost taxpayers.

"I got time next week and the following week. That needs to be done like yesterday," Judge Perry said.

There will be regular status hearings on the case.

A status hearing every 45 days to make sure you are following this schedule," Judge Perry said.



"We want Casey to have a fair trial. We love the knowledge Judge Perry brings to the bench," Jose Baez said after the hearing;

And correct me if I am wrong but I think RHornsby said this months ago.

Sorry, don't mean to quote myself but RHornsby did say months ago that they would probably bring in jurors from another County due to the large number of witness's to be called at trial.

Richard was right on this one, as he has been most of the time.

Yeah my mom told me that when I left. I was two rows behind Cindy (seriously the prosecution side ran out of room.) but I never did see her blow a kiss. I tried to pay extra careful attention to see if Casey would ever acknowledge them and from what I could tell she didn't..after the clink clank of her entering the court room, however, she was all smiles when she saw "her boys".

One thing about court is JB said he was still missing latents from the FBI and JA said he wasn't aware of that. In scanning through another thread I came across documentation in which the FBI states they didn't do latent examination in this case - the FBI still provided JB with 'latent print opertations procedures' which they requested.

Another thing to point out to those that haven't watched the hearing yet...

At the beginning when Casey first came in, George started speaking and gesturing to Conway, George's hands were going back and forth to Casey then to himself...it looked like to me he was saying...

"We are trying to reach out but getting nothing back"

I took this meaning from his hand signals, facials expressions and trying to read his lips.

I would encourage anyone to look at this again and see what they think. It was at the very start of the hearing before the Judge came in.

I'm fairly good with body language but this is just my opinion.

Gypsy, I don't know if we were listening to the same one, but the person I heard opined that maybe she didn't make any eye-contact at all because it was been the first time since THE letters have been released. Maybe she just couldn't look 'em in the eye after what those letters exposed.

There is a big problem. According to the Jail records that the only time that Mason has been to see the Client was from 4:30-5:15 pm on Friday the day the motion was filed. Now how did they get this motion signed by Casey and stamped by Mason to the Diane Marku then to the court house in 15 minutes? And the Channel 13 reported stated that Baez himself called him to meet them at the courthouse for the filing. And how did Channel 13 get ahold of unsigned copies? The Copies that 13 posted are clearly not a filed motion.
Also as Diane Marku was not on the vistor log at the jail this means that either Baez or Mason had to leave the secure area to give the document to Diane Marku. At no time did Baez nor Chaney Mason leave the secure area before 5:15 pm. We know this because they would have to sign out then sign back in.

I'd say it is a big problem and something fishy went on...whether we will ever know what it was is another thing.

I wonder if any wonderful WS could get to the bottom of this?
