something not right-why didnt misty say this in the beginning-or middle-i know she wants drug charges lessened but this just don't seem true or right (feeling wise) just my opionion-sorry for bad spelling-I'm old!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I'm curious as to what time it was that Teresa Neves called Misty begging her to come and babysit and even offered to pay her to babysit? I'm sure that would play in on the timeline. Wasn't it said that Misty turned off her phone around 8:30pm that night after her and Ron got into a fight on the phone about her babysitting? Just something to think about. I'd also like to know what GGM Sykes meant when she said that we noticed she was gone ten minutes after we arrived. I smell a rat and it's coming from the Cummings side.

I'm still confused about this part too. Where was Misty when TN called her? Where was TN when she called? Wasn't Misty at home that day already? why did TN have to ask her to "come"?

I am not sure Misty is even saying this stuff about JO anymore. We read it and we hear it in the media, but it's old news in the form of a new article. Articles came out about it this week because this week Fields reminded the media it's what Misty said...yeah, it is what she said, but she said it awhile ago, not this week. In fact, by end of April or so Misty was implying maybe the Joe story was either a dream or the power of suggestion from others. I can't find reference to any phone call or letter, a tape or video, or interview, etc., that has Misty saying this recently. Is anyone here aware of any?

Yeah, what did she do? I guess she spent the next several hours cleaning up the house. It sure was squeaky clean! I wonder what her story will be about that! BBM

Cleaning and creating an alibi, IMO.

According to WBG, Misty was in Gainsville with her dad who was in the hospital up there after being in a car accident. NayNay never dropped Misty off at Ronald but rather at one of her brothers' house, but I don't know which one. Why would any grandmother who had knowledge of a young girl being strung out on dope for three days want her to babysit her grandkids in the first place? That doesn't make any sense to me. My grandbabies are too precious to me and I wouldn't put them in that situation. There was a reason why Neves wanted Misty there and it wasn't because she wanted her to babysit either. If we knew the answer to that, we could figure this case out. Neves holds the keys to this case.

Exactly!!! This is non news floated on the anniversary of HaLeigh's birthday with the sole goal to remind everyone and LE that Misty 'cooperated' and thus should get a lighter sentence.

It is a Hail Mary pass by Misty's attorney to try to remove the HaLeigh case as an issue in sentencing so he can focus on the two County drug charges and seek a youthful offender and negate the other.

It is nothing more than a lame non story that simply does not fit the facts as we know them or the players in this case and their suspicious actions.

My single biggest fear now Misty has pled no contest and is on her way to sentencing and Ron isn't likely to confess that the sun is going down on this case and the offenders will get the sentences and we will never hear what happened to poor little HaLeigh as everyone gets on with serving time and the parents move on.

Good point. Or was everyone tired of taking care of rons kids for him. Maybe Ron was in a rage cause of Misty going on the binge for the weekend, something happened to haleigh under RC's care before he went to work, TN begged MC not just to babysit but to help Ron cover what he did to Haleigh. If Haleigh and it was drugs maybe they told her she too would get blamed for the drugs in the house if LE was involved. Who knows how easily you could sway drugged out young Misty's brain.

Maybe TN made her feel guilty for causing his rage in the first place, and how MC owed him and she had to help him out of this.

She needed to come to the house and pretend everything was normal to cover RCs butt because if anyone knew RC caused Haleigh harm, he would lose Jr. So MC comes, GGM comes and takes JR, MC gets stoned out of her mind with TC and Joe to numb the whole thing and plot the plan for her to wake up and the baby is gone.

Do a bunch of crack and pills and this is the type of logic you get I guess.

Snowbunny, I think you're right. TN and Ron have know all along what happened. Maybe there was an accident with Haleigh before Misty came back, and the Cummins clan planned to set up the Croslins all along if Haleigh didn't make it. That's why RC made sure he stayed at werk, but kept calling so many times. I hope this ends soon.

Sorry Luvthesleuths, looks like I kinda repeated you. Great minds...LOL
At least 1 sentence was the same. I am so tired. Think I will turn in now, turn on my TV and watch some normal family. I think Rosanne is on. LOL

Art claims to have spoken to Robert Fields and has another Exclusive

Exlusive? Pfffttt!! Interview? Bigger pfffffftttttt!!!!! More than likely Fields' office issued a written press release. But why???

I can't see how this would benefit his client. The judge and SA won't be influenced by this nonsense. It's a ridiculous tale with so many contradictions that it belies reason and makes Misty look like a stubborn, habitual liar. Judging from comments here and on other sites, Fields has taken a lot of flack for the way he handled Misty's drug charges. Maybe this is a response to his detractors. He can't discuss details of the drug case with her sentencing pending. So instead, he uses this example to remind the public that Misty is a liar, incredibly difficult to defend (speaks to LE without her attorney, submits to LTD against the advice of her counsel), and her own worst enemy.

BBM....That could very well be true Jo took her out of the house covered in a blanket and in a black bag, however Haleigh's father was aware of the fact and I suspect instructed him to do so or either instructed Misty to get him to do it......JMHOOTS..

Now that is a fairytale if I ever heard one!

If misty were in Gainsville visiting her dad, why didn't she include that in part of her day's routine? I have never seen so many liars in one case (with the exception of Couey's relatives). I am starting to take great interest in Jerry Springer. The mindset of these people in this case has to represented on this show....and I used to think it was an act! :banghead:

I have no idea why Fields, Misty's attorney, would face the press and tell this tale. However, he has asked for a three hour time block on the day of her sentencing to plead her case. He promises a surprise witness, too.
Perhaps he is letting out this information as a way to build up the public and the courts for his presentation on the day she appears to be sentenced.

I suspect he will bring in authorities from the Mental Health field, maybe a behavioral specialist and perhaps an authority on her learning ability and IQ.

Until then, he may want to drop information pertaining to Misty and the prediciments she found herself in during her short life.

I don't think he would bring up anything about Haleigh's fate in that hearing but I do believe he will try to paint Misty as a poor, uneducated, mistreated, 18-year-old from a home full of drug users and lawbreakers.

jmo

I prefer to stay with this crime being simple. I do not know how Haleigh died. I choose to beleive she heard Haleigh screaming....from what will be determined later. I believe misty has severe mental problems though, always have. She is disconnected in a major way. Ever since I heard about the first court case with misty and another young man, my antennae have been up. She speaks in pieces that are not connecting. If misty is not dissociated, she is severely borderline.

Instead of having a split personality I guess Ron is capable of splitting himself into two people as he was at work when Haleigh disappeared.

And its also possible that he accidently did something to her prior to him going to work and she died later which is a theory that several have been discussing. I thought everybody was entitled to their opinions without being ridiculed or made fun of as you are entitled to yours?

The information about Gainsville came from the interview Art Harris did with WBG. WBG mentioned it on the taped interview that Art Harris posted.

Sooooo....do you know what time Haleigh disappeared? Do you know Ron's work hours? I would love to hear you explain away Ron/Cummings actions after Haleigh disappeared.

Ron may have been at work sometime that night but there is no doubt in my mind that he knows exactly what happened to his daughter. JMO of course

wow new to this but feel totally ignored-why tell plp to join in when you just ignore new plpl?sorry my thoughts were not relevant!
