I guess it all depends on what Baez & Mason have filled her in on and how much of it as well.

Heck...how much you wanna bet that even Baez and Mason haven't read all the discovery yet! They better get on the ball...they've had over 2 years.

I think the copier moments were among my favorite. JB does not even have a clue what goes on in his own office. Copier---DUH

Don't laugh. There are some partners in my office who DON'T know how to make a copy. It's pretty amusing to watch them fumble through making a simple copy. Which is funny because everyone in the office has had training on how to use the copiers in our copy rooms. And all the copiers are the same on every one of our floors so it's not like there are multiple machines that are all different.

Baez needs to own this case. I mean really own it. He needs to know every single aspect. Of course you hand out certain aspects for each team member to handle but ultimately Baez needs to know everything that is going on. And when Honorable Perry asks a question I don't know is not an appropriate answer. It's disrespectful and a waste of the Court's time.

I think LDB did an excellent job of keeping her composure... she had to sit there and listen to JB and CM lie through their teeth about things and twist and change things every which way to cover their butts!!! I think she just had enough of JB trashing the State for neglecting things (like turn over discovery) that everyone knows very well the State has already done!

I did not like when HHJP told LDB that he didn't "believe they said that." She responded that she could tell him what they said, but that was the sanitized version. LDB has always been very forthcoming. I can actually hear CM saying exactly that... only much worse!!

HHJP did kinda smile at the "sanitized version" however. I thought he was more saying to LDB - "easy does it girl - this is no time for losing your cool - lots of time for that later, when it really matters."

OK - the whole "who's on first thing.." you know, about sealing the jail records....
JB and team only asked that the LOGS be sealed, not the actual phone calls themselves right? And JP more or less spelled it out for them in his "clarification" that JB asked for. Sooooo, Cindy and PapaJoe can go see precious angel now and not have to worry about the recordings being released? Right?

One thing I really loved was when AF was talking about needing to interview people in Ohio regarding KC's childhood... HHJP asked how old she was when she lived there... I thought he would choke when AF answered! HHJP said, "One to three??"

Hahahaha!!

IIRC wasn't that done already?
J.Barrett had gone to Ohio to interview people

Are they trying to double up here or what?

He has not had a straight answer on money from day one. I wonder how much he is skimming off the top of other JAC funds to his own pocket. :loser:

Good God that's not even funny. They damn well better have read all the discovery. It's not like it's that many documents to begin with!

AND another funny moment....When LDB was 'splainin to JP about the FBI profile questionnaires....you know the ones where Nick Savage told George...um...Cindy's was a little "off"....SEEMS THE DEFENSE TEAM JUST LEARNED ABOUT THOSE IN THE DEPOSITION YESTERDAY of Nick Savage. O.....M......G......... where have these lawyers been? WE ALL HERE AT WS have know about that little gem for 2 years.

I missed that, are you sure? I did notice her facial expressions while JB was going on and on about how hard he is working, blah, blah, blah. Her mouth was twitching and she was right on the verge of tears several times while he spoke.

It looked to me as she was being assisted through the doorway of the hearing room that she was beginning to cry. Like trying to stifle a full out ball. Perhaps from turning to see her parents?

Are they trying to double up expenses here?

Yes, but Ann repeatedly tried to push the "2 separate people" issue, although HHJP wasn't in a "buying" mood today.

I took his answer to mean- No they would never say that because they would be DEAD fing wrong. And they should know me better than to make a statement like that.

I didn't take it as a slap to LDB but more to Mason.

Part 2 of hearing video...

20:57 and on...some paraphrasing

Mr. Mason: Searchers mysteriously have motive or have been instructed not to talk to us.

We want to find the witnesses there. We need the investigators to do it. They're not just out there being stupid, they're being very cough cough umm I have the billings here.

So Mr. Mason...have you identified witnesses in the records or do you want to FIND witnesses in the records? Was that a flub sir???? Because...you said you want to "find" them there. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I worked for an attorney (brilliant man) who thought his stapler ws broke because it was out of staples....

JB does not have the brains to keep up with a case like this. Ain't never gonna happen. He is LOST.

I don't think you are corret TotallyObsessed - my impression was only personal telephone calls - on an actual telephone, not the ones used at the jail, screen to screen.

Nope, that Motion was denied.

Sometimes I feel that we are more prepared for this case than the defense is.:waitasec:

I think the problem is that ... JB just basicaly uses the money as and when needed and does not necessarily have any pots or even tracks it.

IIRC he was not even logging hours spent on the case so JB has no-one doing any basic accounting in terms of expenses and funds.

It is probably why no-one got paid, JB took his and then spent the rest on this and that and had nothing left. The only reminder he gets is when it is gone.

You cannot operate in this way so goodness knows how he is going to run a successful trial, from an expenses and logistics perspective.

JSR Good God that's not even funny. They damn well better have read all the discovery. It's not like it's that many documents to begin with!

You reall do not want him to take time out his press confernces time or national media time to deal with her case do you. He has to do his flights and pose for his fans, hair, suits, shoes, makeup. What is the most high profile Hispanic defense attorney EVER supposed to do. Geraldo or KC? Hmmmm what to do, what to do.:loser:

Well if he is that is one sure fire way to get disbarred. If it could be proven he can kiss his license goodbye. It's hard to get disbarred except for cases involving money. You double bill or use $$ (even if promptly returned) from a client's trust for anything you get disbarred. State Bars don't kid around about $$$. They like to keep things ethical.
