An unverified "interview" with Clint a few weeks ago suggested that Shawn was spending nights at Billie's within weeks of Billie and Clint splitting up. Maybe she met him online before the split... presumably she was better off financially before she and Clint were supporting TWO households and when she still had her nursing license. Maybe they had internet then.

OMG... isn't there some kind of "fetish" or "fantasy" thing that involves an interest in nurses?

Any kind of internet investigation is time-consuming. It's significant to me that this revelation did not come directly from LE but from a FOIA request. LE may not have completed their investigation yet. As other posters have mentioned above (and this thread has moved fast and is hard to keep up with!), LE has to narrow down who had access to the computers/flash drives involved during the times that the images were downloaded, figure out the sources of the images, and has to track down where the images originated and if possible determine who were the minors involved, where they are, how they became involved...

My heart goes out to the investigators who are tasked with unravelling and sourcing all these threads. The work they do is so important and yet so disturbing. I hope that they are all getting every bit of the psychological and emotional support they need--whether the images directly involve Hailey or not, pictures like these are evidence of some of the most horrible crimes committed against the innocent that anyone could imagine. To commit one's life to bringing the perpetrators to justice is brave as it exposes one to realities that no one would ever want to consider.

I don't think we are allowed to speculate too much, but:

They did not actually say anything deviant or pornographic was on the CD. They have said there was stuff on the mom's PC and on the USB drive, but only that a CD was among the things confiscated that could be considered "electronics".

If (for instance) police confiscated 40 cardboard boxes, and then discovered some dirty socks in the confiscated boxes, it would not necessarily follow that dirty socks were found in EACH of the 40 boxes, but that after all 40 boxes were searched, some number of dirty socks were found amongst their contents.

The return on warrant describes a 2-gigabyte PNY Attache memory stick found in the bottom right-hand drawer of a four-drawer dresser in the master bedroom of the Colorado City residence shared by Billie Dunn and Adkins, her live-in boyfriend. Officials also found a 700-megabyte Memorex CD disc that was also seized as evidence.

The return on warrant indicated that these devices in the Dunn home contained “approximately 320 images and videos of a pornographic nature.”

Defending an internet child *advertiser censored* case in Texas usually involves three main issues: the defendant did not knowing or intentionally possess child *advertiser censored*; the images are not child *advertiser censored*; or the search of the computer was done illegally.

This is what I found on a Texas defense attorney's website...I think they will go for #1...for the "possession" part which should include Billie?

Dunn denied the images belonging to her or Shawn Adkins, saying she has no idea where they would have come from. Adkins told Tatro he was unable to comment about the development at the request of his attorney.

Billie has denied everything...that she knew about SA lurking around H's bedroom...that she gave permission for H to sleep over or be outside on that day...that H was afraid of SA...she will deny, deny deny...

I think that is why they removed him from that house. To avoid situations like that. They are not going to be able to blame it on him because he had no access to shawns moms computer.

But possession of said material will be hard to defend against. Whether or not the "memory/flash/drive/stick" that was recovered from BD's drawer does hold images also found on the computer, then she is is possession of illegal materials. If the flash device contains different things than the computer, worse for her. Doesn't matter who downloaded/accessed the images and put them on the memory device, the state can make a fine case for BD being in possession of them.

I was surprised by news reports indicating that she has not yet lawyered up. It may well be that none of the *advertiser censored* revelations have a single thing to do with Hailey's disappearance. But in the face of such allegations, guilty or innocent, BD IMO needs legal representation STAT.
