I doubt it. He seems to be enjoying it to me. jmo

Yep...she's practicing her flirty ways on him. I fully expect to see him reach over and pat her tiny hoof...er hand....any minute now.

I have been listening to a guy testify for the last five hours who has never published a research paper of his own work and had a peer review. :banghead:

Wow, how many pieces does this guy want to be left in? Certainly not leaving intact.:rocker:

Students rolling in the halls. Get off the stand sir, while you still can.:floorlaugh:

For your amusement during recess -- it is indoor recess cause it is raining CM stupidist umbrellas in Florida.

Enjoy!

I thank God every day for you guys. You will NEVER know how, you give me the strength to push forward. I know Trish has to be EXTREMELY proud of this site and it's members. :)

Did JA ask the rule of sequestration (sp?) be invoked over the weekend/week b/c they were not finished with the motion?

Yes HHJP specifically instructed the attorneys to remember that their witnesses were not to watch any videos of prior witness testimony. (although he conceded that in the modern internet world there really is no way to outright prevent it,a nd everyone is on the honor system).

I think I know why JBP gave JB so much leeway this morning. He knew JA would mop the floor with this guy.

IMO

And I think you are spot on. I saw the clips , but I will have to go back and watch the entire hearing.

Ok..so where the SA is going with this line of questioning (IMHO) is that the levels of chloroform were so high...even with a clean up of the trunk after the fact...that those levels of chloroform are SO HIGH that a clean up would not explain them. But the fact that JA got the witness to admit (before JB objected to the two part question deal) that the stains were of human origin is huge. I get that the DT has coached their witness, but still, he admitted it under oath before the objection.

PS we all now know that the A's don't use stuff in their pool that would comprise those levels. Hence, drowning by accident is void for the defense.

Look how this guy is doing under cross exam compared to Dr. Vass. :D

Yeah but look at the difference in the questions being asked? JA is asking very technical questions about the science not if he expects to get a big paycheck from a patent.

Hang in there honey. Your brother will have justice one day very soon. :blowkiss:

Does anyone know how long they can actually go to tonight? I know Judge Perry said it will be a long day and they will be there past 5:00pm? How long can they actually stay? 9:00pm? 10:00pm? 11:00pm? Is there a certain cutoff point?

I'm just trying to figure out when we'll be breaking for "dinner." I made my cucumber/tomato/onion salad on the last break... I need to cook some fish for the dinner break. Trying to find out about when we would be breaking so I can actually eat some real food. :floorlaugh:

JB probably sent him a copy.:floorlaugh:

Amen!

This is just on the fly. How much you wanna bet he will confer with Dr. Vass and then re-depo this Dr. B after?

It is good to be back and reading. You are making me laugh harder than I have in a year!

Missed your insights, 21merc! Glad to see you diving right back into the thick of things with this hearing!

:maddening::maddening::maddening:

IF he just prepared for his depo, answered the questions without denigrating the other specialists, then he might get a "pass" and a wing & a prayer acceptance. He IMHO appears to be landing on his past laurels and IMHO assumes that all "lawyerly" types are represented by JAB.

EDITORIAL: IMHO, he is a typification of the I'm a titled/tenured prof. and the rest of you are NOT, so don't challenge me! OR he was hi-jacked into the case via a "favor" to somebody and assumed that this would be an "easy-peasy" notch on the 'ole gun belt"

That new person sitting next to Casey has not learned to cover his face when talking to her. Any lip readers out there?
