I think I am going to switch channels - cnn live is great but is only showing DS, Logan and HHJP - it hasn't switched from there to any shots of the defense table or anything else. Are other media sites any different?

One of the reasons I believe it was important to take a recess was because Judge Perry was in charge of going to Tallahassee to get money. It was suspected that Gov. Scott might not approve it immediately.

Judge clearly had to handle housekeeping issues right away thus a brief recess. This is NOT something he could have put off til later.

Might I add...that after Gov. Scott's "opinion" that the Leg. is moving too slowly....I suspected that he might start dragging his feet too. Tit for Tat so to speak.

As a "businessman" he has had quite a hard time understanding the mechanisms of Gov. and the protocol. This is the ONLY thing I have seen him do in a speedy and efficient manner that also follows protocol.

Sure he sold the airplanes but paid off the leases without approval.

So this is a shock.

Funding granted through May - not into June. This trial is not going to be over by the end of May. My guess is that they would request funding each month? I can't see them just shutting down the trial in the middle of it!

I don't think so either, as everyone has a right to a fair trial. The Govenor & the FL Supreme court will have to continue funding (IMHO) until the end of trial.

However, what happens if JB asks for a continuance and the trial doesn't start until June, July, or Chrstmas?

There was a tweet ealier from CFNEWS13Casey around 9:30 stating they were on a 30 minute delay while tech staff was trying to work out some eqpt. issue. I am thinking sound is the eqpt issue today.

My understanding is the new fiscal year begins in June, so funding was not an issue after May.

I don't know what's going on today. I've already lost my internet link once, and when I got back on, the sound is TERRIBLE!!

I have been watching online at CNN.live and the sound has been awful. My understanding is that all links online have this sound issue. If it is also bad on television: that would show me the issue is with the sound itself coming from the court room.

I hope this is corrected or I don't know if I can listen to much more. :crazy:

Can he do that??? I thought the judge said trial will start in May, no delays?
