"I'm not sure, sir."

That he could put aside, lay aside opinions.

Have you asked yourself whether you could set aside everything you've heard and seen about this case? I can truthfully answer yes, I can set it all aside. Totally.

1367:

HHJP: you were supposed to do some checking on hardship issues. did you do that?

yes.

HHJP: what did you find?

they will pay.

HHJP: did you heed, not to watch or listen to any news on this case? Did you read the newspaper?

no

HHJP: radio or news accounts since you have been here?

no

HHJP: did you talk to anyone about this case?

no but I heard from the co workers

HHJP: what did you hear?

about her in the news, they talk about her. everything they listed her in the news.

HHJP: what did they tell you.

I can't explain

HHJP: detail or general convos?

general conversation

HHJP: did they say she was guilty or innocent?

they say guilty.

HHJP: how did that effect your opinion?

I don't know.

HHJP: after you heard what they said, and did you hear anything prior?

almost everyday.

HHJP: have you come to any opinions about the defendants guilt or innocence?

in the past?

HHJP: yes

we have conversations.

HHJP: do you think she is guilty or innocent?

I think she is guilty.

HHJP: can you set it aside or forget about it or will you use it against her?

I don't know what to say.

HHJP: can you presume miss anthony who sites over there is not guilty. can you forget about the fact that you think she is guilty.

I don't know.

HHJP: could you step outside for a moment. Excused.

a truthful juror!

Another one bites the dust. Good GRIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They won't keep him, but he said he can't forget what he has heard or talked about.

1278:

HHJP: did you heed? not to read watch news.

yes I heard you sir.

HHJP: but did you heed?

yes.

HHJP: did you discuss this with anyone?

no

HHJP: did you go online to participate in any social media?

no

HHJP: prior to now did you hear about this case, in great detail what have you heard?

in 2008 read in the newspaper, and on the news.

HHJP: what facts?

finding stuff in the trunk.

HHJP: what kind of stuff.

hair and the smell of a dead person.

HHJP: newspapers?

I did read but don't remember them.

HHJP: you listen to news, did you learn anything different via the news paper vs what you learned by tv?

no

HHJP: have you discussed this matter with others.

now or 2008

HHJP: 2008

I can't really say what we discussed. I don't remember now.

HHJP: as a result of what you have read, seen and heard in any discussions you have had have you formed any impressions about miss anthonys guilt or innocence?

no

HHJP: do you have any impressions?

yes

HHJP: what would that be?

she might have done it she might not have.

HHJP: not sure?

no, not sure.

HHJP: if you are selected you must set aside the impressions and opinions and go by the law that I would give you. any problem doing that?

no sir.

HHJP: this is tricky. as human beings we can't erase our memories. some are able set aside opinions and not use those opinions...but some can not do that. Only you and you alone know if you are the type of person who can do that. no right or wrong answer only a truthful answer. are you sir able to hold back any impressions and apply your answer to the law?

I'm not sure.

JA: it seems like you don't have a strong impression about the defendants guilt or innocence. you answer to the court you would have trouble laying what you heard aside but what did you hear that you can't lay aside?

(long pause)the articles I read.

JA: you might substitute what you read and can't substitute what you heard in court?

right.

HHJP: step out please.

HHJP: he has indicated he cannot be impartical. if you want to rehabilitate him bring him back in.

(I think the man is confused, I agree with HHJP)

Well if JB had the wool pulled over ICA's eyes as to how her guilt/innocence was being perceived by the general Public she knows different now.
Why doesn't this cameraman focus on her when the conversation is about her?

Yes, this is not the Motions hearings. She gets to hear it all now. Wonder if she just thinks the media and mom and dad did this to her though???

There'd be 5 more if Cm had't whined about being too tired ...

True, but the jury pool is not being managed very well...yesterday the same thing happened, one person waited 10 hours to come in and be excused for financial hardship within 30 seconds. I think it is the judge's duty to sort these things out to keep it efficient.

Asked to step out for a minute by Judge.
Judge speaking to Baez-U want to rehabilitate him, i'll bring him back again.

Judge: based upon last potential juror's answer>excused

I'm beginning to think, no matter how much I esteem the honorable judge, he may be overreacting in his attempt to show impartiality, being overly indulgent toward the defense and sometimes punitive to the prosecution. JMO

I thought that a time or too. Seems to give the DT a pass, whereas NO GO for SA. and Yes Yes Yes, I know he expects more from the "seasoned" attorneys, but come on......

What are you concerned about? Well all of the articles I've read. So you believe you may not be able to separate what you read from what you hear in court.

Unless you are attempting to rehabilitate this juror, he has indicated he is subject to cause.

this dude is taking too long to answer questions. Maybe he's just thinking, but boy, my answers would be by flying. guilty, smell of decomp, 31 days, blah blah blah. Oh, I LOVE the death penalty!

Now what's with this rehabilitation thing?

MOO

Mel

eta: nevermind - excused.

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....:banghead:

Did the judge send all the other PJ's home? If so, CM sure will be happy!! :banghead:

Why didn't they notice this the other day with this juror?

I'm tired of power plays delaying. IMO
