I don't think she said she wouldn't...she said she did not like to do so. I think she told the judge she would and could, when he persisted with questioning.

Just jumping of you cluciano;

I have been rethinking this lady. Perhaps she chooses her words wisely. She may not wish to be there at all, she may not wish for the world to hear her say anything other than what she did, perhaps she has been through quite a bit in her life.

This leaves me with perhaps, I know I hate perhaps too and agree with everyone else on the wild card, but, perhaps, she is the one that can decide more readily when she sees what is presented. What if she feels that KC did it after the evidence is presented, and she doesn't want wish t.v. to record? I understand given her religious beliefs she does not want to judge, or even say she judges, however, a juror vote is silent and not known to the media.

Just a thought.

Did anyone else hear CM talk about the accident theory today when questioning a PJ. I'm feeling more and more that's what they are gonna run with.

Yes, that was with the last woman of the day.

He asked her why she wanted to serve on the jury, and she said that she wanted to know "who did it".
He asked her repeat her answer, which she did, and he came back with, well, it could have been an accident.

This was also about the time that Casey went pen happy scribbling and underlining her notes and shoving them over to Ann F, as well as tapping her arm to get her attention.

I feel bad for this woman that the judge let her go home, when she might just as well as have stayed the additional 10 minutes that the rest of them had to for their little rush conferance.
Now, she gets to get up in the morning, come back in again, and then be turned away.
I would be so angry if I were her, and esp if she takes the time to look for the video of this once she is dismissed.

I do wonder if anyone in her family will tell her tonight since she is gone anyway.

Luv, I have questions with 3 of the jurors i hope the state will strike. I'm holding out they will because I'm just not liking 3 of them.

When I have considered some of these PJ who may appear to be pro-defense, I just keep reminding myself that in order to get to the stage they are at in jury selection, it has been determined that they may know SOME of the facts of the case....but do not know ALL of the facts of the case (or even as much as WE do!)....

And as SA lays out their case, I have all the confidence that any "on the fence" or "pro-defense" jurors will quickly swing....

You just CANNOT talk about a TWO YEAR OLD and DUCT TAPE, along with DECOMP SMELL in MOM'S CAR in one sentence and expect a juror to disregard it.....IMO:rocker:

No, I recall HHJP telling ? to tell the woman "they will be in contact with her tonight as to whether she needs to come back tomorrow or not"...

BBM. That was one of the sweetest posts I have seen in a while!

On JVM they were talking about that and said that 8 jurors were replaced! That's crazy!

And I gotta tell you....

After watching all of the defense teams "games" over the last several several months, I fully expect them to attempt to get at least a couple of the jurors replaced DURING trial....for most likely the most ridiculous of reasons! :banghead:

Trying to get caught up. So we're at 11 jurors again tonight? Do they have enough left to get thru the strikes?

I have missed much since I have been at work. Could someone please tell me who Elizabeth Fryer is ? Thanks in advance

Elizabeth Fryer works for/with Cheney Mason - recently admitted to bar, I think, and she argued a motion in court last week trying to get another Frye hearing which was denied, she has attended court hearings with Mason for some time now.

I'm trying to figure out why I thought the alternates could not be struck and now JP is saying they can be struck.
Does he mean that if either side does not use up all of their strikes then they are allowed to use them on the alternates?

They each had 10 strikes for the main jury and then each side only gets ONE strike for the alternates...

Thank you! Also, I agree that JP should have at least 6 alternates, even more if possible.

Well, a few of them did admit to being in Orlando from time to time, and with some of them also admitting that they had heard of the case, I'd watch for a bus if I were any of them!

Esp in light of the DT's private eye being in attendance watching this.
As fast as they've been able to pull up peoples twitter and FB accounts, nothing should be put past them any of them.

They aren't done pointing fingers yet, and if they find a "hot body" that they can single out, rest assured, it's not the first time they've changed plans in mid-stream.

where has her new mitigation specialist been since she was "outed"? guess she is out for now?

eta: I mean OUT OF SIGHT

nurse, since we have learned about the "media room" just outside the courtroom, I have been assuming that she is hanging out in there. But I could be totally wrong on this. :waitasec: No media reports that she is no longer working with the DT right?

I'm with you, ynot. I don't think we've seen or heard the last of her.

from my notes I have:
record purpose - what to him? sorry that's it!! LOL!!

and the first # HHJBP mentioned I didn't catch, but said something like, we'll see if she's still ill, and the only ill person I have noted is 3131, but have notation of "gone", so not too sure!

Thanks all for the updates and pictures on the Jury Selection thread!!:great:

edited to say 3283 was between 3015 (woman, no FB, no op works for Verizon) and 3042 (woman, trip to Philly, she was excused), if that helps!

IN my opinion, this announcement to the press was an attempt by Cindy Anthony to divert attention AWAY from the jury selection proceedings where "potential juror" after "potential juror" is stating...."I BELIEVE SHE IS GUILTY!"

Yes, I agree, or could be that discovery is finally coming out soon...Cindy always created a diversion at that time in the past.

Thank you! Also, I agree that JP should have at least 6 alternates, even more if possible.

I also agree - and hopefully more than six. This is going to be a long trial, and in a DP case, there must be 12 jurors. There could be any number of reasons to have to excuse jurors during the trial, and what a total nightmare it would be if it's almost over and there aren't 12 left. It makes me curious what the status would be now if the SA hadn't decided to seek the DP, considering in FL only 6 jurors are required on non-capital cases. :waitasec:

Praying for HHJBP to find as many alternates as possible!

MOO

I have a big question. When attorneys are asking personal questions of the jurors are they required to answer. I can see asking about their personal beliefs re crimes and innocent or guilty, DP or LWOP. I hate that they ask all the other questions, how many children, ages, books they read, hobbies. After giving all that info and if the defendant is found guilty I would hate to be out in the Anthonys world and be afraid of retaliation.
