It dawns on me that I've never felt displaced by my mother by her grandchildren.
That must be psychologically tough for an immature individual who is insecure and possibly feels unloveable - just saying.

I kind of know what it feels like. My parents were really crappy parents but AMAZING (and I mean that in a big way - not a Mallory way) grandparents. It doesn't make me jealous of my daughter but kind of sad for myself. I've never felt one nugget of jealousy towards my kid - I'm very happy for her that she is loved so much (especially since I was an unwed teen Mom when I had her)...my parents were also present in the delivery room with my daughter (same scenario with Caylee's birth) wonder how much that plays in to it.
