The defense started the day cross examining Casey's former best friend, Amy Huizenga, who painted Casey a troubled girl at odds with her mother and wanting to free herself of her parents.

Defense attorney Jose Baez questioned her about drinking and about the possibility that she was Casey's romantic rival, at times, dating her ex-boyfriends.

Couldn't Jose have used AH in their favor instead? Couldn't AH saying that Casey was troubled and wanting to free herself of her parents have been used to support the defense theory that she was troubled because she had been mistreated and abused by her parents?

Instead he had to try and make a jealous fool out of her.

But of course she's madly jealous. What's there not to be jealous of? A woman with a fatherless child, no job, no stable relationships, no money, leaching off her parents and anybody she could steal from... Everybody wants to be that girl.

Ok after a break (and a beer) Does any one else find it ironic that the man (JB and I use that term loosely) who absolutely railed and ranted and raved about the SA having O EVIDENCE!!!" is now absolutely trying to make his case by saying that since (stay with me) there is no evidence of her drowning in the pool that she should be acquitted?

He's "big" into "reverse psychology, isn't he? Almost TOOO big.

Okay, after the hiccup caused by IS folks exodus and the court revelation today (revelation to me as I was not a member back then) I took care of real life business and then came home to acquaint myself with the posts brought up in court today by one JB (hello! Discovery disclosures??? Timely objection???)

Here's what I found (as one who did not live through the actual DickTracy posting timeline but discovered it later and revisited today) This man is the epidomy of professionalism. Period. His postings here are untouchable, even had they been addressed in a timely manner and disclosed as is proper. Period. Exclamation point. The end.

Hats off to Cpl. Yuri Melich!

OK I am watching the YM ambush and I swear HHJP sustained two objections before they were even made. He does it twice and you can't hear the actual objection. I love the way LDB says she never got it in discovery because she has gotten very little and what she has gotten has been annexed or annotated or something.

It would not have surprised me had Caylee died in the carseat in the car in the hot Florida Sun after Casey drugged her to "sleep" while she was out shopping. When your temperature reaches a certain point "foaming at the mouth" would occur. Duct taping the mouth shut with a cute little heart shaped sticker and placing her little body in the trunk until Casey can figure out what to do and a plan would have made sense as a defense stragedy.
I am just so befuddled with this whole case...

I'm thinking more along the lines of it happened at the Anthony house because all the "supplies" were from the house/garage. (The baby blanket, the trash bags, the laundry bag, the special duct tape, the heart sticker.) I have a feeling Casey flew into a rage at Caylee for some reason because of the way the duct tape was not only over her mouth and nose, but wrapped repeatedly around her head and hair. I don't know if it was because Caylee did/said something to piss her off or that Casey wasn't going to be able to be with Tony overnight because of no babysitter. We've seen Casey in a rage and we know that what Casey wants, Casey gets, come heck or high water. I don't believe it was any sort of an accident, mainly because of the many layers of duct tape. I think it was violent.

So sorry to be graphic, but that's how I see it and I hope to heck I'm wrong.

I mean did Tony call the Anthony house and say, "Will someone come over and get the evil witch's stuff outta' my house?" Or did Casey request it? And what's the deal with it being so "neatly packed"? I missed most of Lee's testimony today. I watch the trial on http://www.wftv.com/caseyanthony/index.html and today the video would freeze after every Aflac commercial. (Dam* duck!)

I think the clothes packing like that could have happened one of two ways.

1. She wanted Tony and all her new friends to think she was something she was not and thus the neatly packed stuff, cleaning his apartment and cooking.

2. by the time Lee called Tony, Tony had decided "i don't know wth is going on but she's outta here!".

I agree with you and I think the State will also make that point.

Jolynna ,I believe ,found a FL case "Huck"? and the defense tried to claim the duct tape was placed on the victim after death. It went to the FL Supreme Court,who upheld that there was no reason to place tape post mortem.
I hope a fellow WSer comes along to clean up my info.
My FIL is dying and it's agony to watch.Went through this last year with my own dad ,who died June 4th.This timing is crazy.

My next comment is rather obvious but I will make it anyway.

JB and the DT read here. They have been doing so for quite some time. If there was EVER any doubt. That doubt has been obliterated.

This next is for Jose Baez and the Defense team: Don't bother coming here to try and figure out your next move. The beauty of Websleuths is the fluidity of the theories posted here and the respectfulness of its posters. Sure - you may see a theory opined here. Check back tomorrow and see it shot down with some piece of evidence the original poster may have missed or not.

Do not count on us to do your work for you. You have taken on this task. It is your job alone. Do it! Do not expect us to do it for you. It is embarrassing.

All of the above is my own opinion from having followed this case from day one and being blessed to be a member here since fall 2009.
