He read over ICA's statement carefully. Agreed there was only one portion in quotes - "she went somewhere where she felt safe". Doesn't know what significance that had. Didn't ask ICA why she didn't feel at home in her own home. He put "safe" in quotes in his report and can't say why he did that. Didn't ask ICA why she didn't feel safe in her own home - again. Regarding the "movies" in quotes in his report - he didn't do it because it was outrageous, but because it was something she said specifically to him.

JB asked if YM thought some of the things she said were outrageous. LDB objected and objection sustained. (JB trying to elicit hearsay of Defendant from witness - AGAIN?)

JB gives YM a copy of taped interview.

Line 10 of report - gives witness opportunity to change statement. Makes the statement to all people. Didn't find ICA's story to be a fabrication at that time. She was very detailed and specific and there was a lot he had to follow up on.

Page 3 - Line 21 - ICA has known ZG for almost 4 years. Introduced to ZG by JH. ICA didn't have a contact # for him. She said he used to work at Universal.

JB asking about specific statements ICA made - wanting to know if YM thought they were outrageous.

Page 11 - Lines 16 thru 25. Juliette Lewis questions. YM looking at JB like JB is crazy. YM didn't say anything to ICA about her statement not making sense. He was just in the information gathering stage at the time and just wanted to get info to locate the child.

ICA only gave him two outcry witnesses. YM agreed that ICA said that Juliette was a coworker and then said that she hadn't worked there for 2 months. Eventually he went to Universal to try to identify these people.

YM agreed that he asked ICA at the end of the interview is she had a drug problem. JB then asked her "if she ever committed suicide". Haha. He then asked if she had ever been to Lakeside and YM explained that Lakeside is a local treatment center where people with possible mental problems are taken. He can't say why he asked that.

(Casey still sitting there with that blank far away expression on her face).

JB consults with CM.

JB asked YM if he made any other inquiries about ICA to other individuals in the home. Knows he talked to CA. JB asked about seizures. LDB objected - sustained as hearsay.

JB shows LDB a copy of YM's report.

No further questions by JB.

OMG! I think I figured this all out!! Casey was the one that drowned herself in the pool. Is that where all this is leading???:innocent:

YM: Asking Casey about suicide, drug problems, if she'd ever been in Lakeside (a mental facility) - JB is trying to make it seem like YM thought Casey was "unique" (in other words crazy). JB is trying to get in testimony that Casey is abnormal and so therefore it's not surprising she covered this all up and then carried on like nothing was wrong.

YM w/JB...I couldn't tell story was fabricated @ that point....there was a lot of detail in her story....kc known ZTN for 4 years, Jeffrey Michael Hopkins....she can't give any info on how to reach.....based on what YM asked her....no contact number or where he worked currently....went to NC and moved down to Jax....page 5 she goes into statement about simcard did any of that make sense to you? (object - sustained) JB did you confront kc on simcards? YM not confront ask her about simcards....

kc can't think of one.....reason doesn't have number just moved up north within last 2 months subleasing apartment....within 10 seconds a coworker @ universal....event planner and then tells you this person moved 2 months ago and child has been missing a month....she had no number for this person - that is what kc told YM.....couldn't investigate or confront anyone....strike & rephrase...did ya do anything that said wait a minute this doesn't make any sense.... dealing with something a little unique....can't say I felt @ the time.....asked about drugs...o.coke/meth/extacy/other Rx meds....problems drugs or narcotics....JB then you asked her if she ever committed suicide? YM if she had she would not be here to ask......ask if she has been to Lakeside .....Psychiatric Hospital....reason asking questions you realize info is not right? No....can't tell you what I was thinkin at the time....matter of routine (object- sustained) info gotten in investiagtion at that point...(object- sustained).....another moment judge....

JB were you made aware that evening ....or did you make any other inquiries to other individuals in the home about kc? GA and CA....made aware of possible seizures for kc? ....object

I guess Jose wants to imply that Yuri should have realised how disturbed Casey was and figured out that George played a part in the cover up of Caylee's (accidental) death...yeah, that makes sense.

Yeah, I follow your trouble with it. All I can say is, first they expected to go to scene of domestic car theft, then domestic argument, then its a missing persons, at that point, ICA is not supected of killing her child either on purpose or accidentally. She is simply a parent who claims her kid is missing. Gramma is all emotional 31 days, my Caylee, yada yada, mom is not acting like you would expect but has also divulged that - she doesn't want her mom getting hands on Caylee and that she doesn't "feel safe".

These cops probably half thought ICA had hidden the child away somewhere to keep her from a controlling grandmother.

No reason to sniff around looking for dead bodies, this is probably a domestic.

ETA Yuri seems to be keeping his cool and making that point to the jury despite JB's attempts at thwart

I see your point. However, wasn't YM made aware of the smell in the car? If so, there is NO justification for not checking that car, imo.

I would have connected the lying and stealing to family and friends with the drugs and other "behavior". That's where that line of questioning came from in the interview.
