Just answered this above.

However, I have always felt that this would be best for all involved. However, it is unlikely.

I personally think that the best thing that could happen is a hung jury with the Defense Team withdrawing from the case and being replaced with experienced, competent counsel. You may all hate ICA, however, she deserves a competent defense.

Agree ICA deserves a competent defense. JB is not competent. This is not going to end well for JB or ICA. His incompetence everyday is a problem in this case. What a huge waste of taxpayer dollars for an incompetent lawyer.

JB just seems to fumble and bumble and stumble through this trial. All he seems to want to ask was "Did you smell anything?" That and attempt to bring Cindy and George into suspicion. I think the defense could be done better is all I am saying; and I'm just a paralegal. If I was a juror, I would not be getting "led" in any particular direction; not even sure what his point is most of the time.

This female deputy seems sooo professional; they all do. They make me believe everything they say, very credible. Could be very bad for the defense.

IIRC he placed 183 out of a class of 186 in the lowest rated Law School in the US. Then his troubles really began..... The Fla Bar would not allow him to practise due to his ethical and financial problems...

Are you serious ???????????????????

And ICA didn't seem to mind this little tidbit of info? Aren't there certain qualifications one must possess for being the lead defense on a DP case??

I believe that Casey, like all defendants, is entitled to a competent defense. However, my understanding of the incompetent counsel standard is that not only is the counsel incompetent, but the outcome would have been different. I don't know, but I wonder--would that apply here? I.e., could/would the outcome be different with different counsel?

I am sitting here at Ave Maria School of Law – a Catholic, national law school
In the cafeteria with 150 soon to be lawyer (graduating this Saturday)
We are all watching Casey Anthony Trial ….
There is not a Dry eye in the place…
Whenever JB and defense speaks and tries to make a point, they laugh so hard some are even crying…
They are betting there will be a mistrial or at good grounds for at least an appeal…. Hmmmmm:banghead:

NO FEED !

Good Grief ... I hope the lights didn't go out ... and the "defendant" did NOT get loose ....

must say Jose is better with cops. Probably from doing drunk driving and check schemes out of the hall.

Just lost Reflector and WESH feeds! Lightning???

My tv satellite keeps going out and now I am losing the live stream ..
Storms in the area
Stronger Storm cell from Sanford to Orlando..along I-4 corridor..

His 'colleagues' ARE death qualified and well competent though - DS, AF, CM, and the others who left through the revolving door.....

I did find it humorous when JB said "Good Morning " earlie...r then added..."well it will be Good Afternoon in a few minutes."

Instead of reading our "catch-phrase" thread maybe he should have been reviewing discovery he hadn't got around to.

Just wanted to update quickly as I thought it might help someone else! I asked about watching via iPhone in the SIDEBAR thread.

I downloaded the Skyfire App. I was unable to view any video on the WFTV.com site. The video was just frozen the whole time. I was however able to watch via this link on Skyfire. Copied and pasted into Skyfire and worked like a charm.

Thought I would share incase others were having issues too. :)

He has two experienced Attys sitting at his right hand. Wouldn't they volunteer to step forward if they thought he was not competent?
