So, Dr. Vass on Monday, followed by the dogs hunting down Caylee's placement at the house?

I don't know how to paste a picture here but JEJ does look quite a bit like him!

Good Job!!

What happened to the hearing that was suppose to happen on GA's medical records today??? There was suppose to be a hearing on 2 things today.

We kind of speculated that they wanted his "suicide attempt" entered into evidence to bolster the DT's opening statements. (in regards to the alleged sexual abuse of ICA and his part in Caylee's death.) In other words-he felt so guilty he attempted to take his life.

The woman sitting close the the DT table in brown with bright yellow blouse is Jeanne Barrett, CAs bestist buddy, aka, mitigation specialist.

Hmmm...wonder why she is there in Florida already...we are nowhere near the mitigation portion of the trial...could it be that she is there to visit KC and help the attorneys prepare KC for taking the stand?

Does anyone know what happened to the other mitigation specialist? (Can't remember her name but she's the one that divorced her husband and married a convicted murderer..) She was there for a few days of the jury selection and was all buddy buddy with Casey and then **gone***.

For followers who don't know. I'm covering this from the front row and can see alll of the jurors.

(Posting this, since I'd posted so many of Bob Kealing's observations on different jurors today.)

Respectfully Quoted Girlrilla

Yes - hair in the trunk had it; hair(s) attached to tape did not ERGO the tape went on when she was ALIVE. The hair in the trunk fell out (of the bag or her head) when she had been dead awhile. THUS DuctTape = Murder Weapon

Ah, I missed the suggestion in the evidence. However, I personally can't conclude that. I don't know what conditions might or might not effect the presence of deathbanding. And from the evidence, I don't know if EVERY hair from a corpse shows death banding. JMO..perhaps I missed something.

Also, from my understanding, the hair with the deathband was not a shed hair. That means it was pulled out of the head, so that leads me to believe it had to have been attached to the deceased body PRIOR to it having been pulled out, otherwise, it would not have had a death band. The only thing I can conclude from that is that Caylee's dead body was placed in that trunk prior to being put into a bag. Unless, of course, the bag was ripped or something, but from my understanding it was double bagged, yes? So that seems unlikely to me.

I think the whole "trash" vs. "garbage" deal is not because witnesses talked to each other about their testimony. I think the term for the piece of evidence is used consistently in the reports as the item(s) is passed down the chain of analysis, to avoid confusion. Makes sense to me that any CST or foresensic analyst would naturally use the same term consistently to refer to the same piece of evidence.

I really hope the forensics are clear enough to the jury; always the part of any case that worries me the most. In this case, I do think that the circumstancial evidence is massive and there won't be any acquittal, but not sure the jury will convict on the most severe charges if they don't believe firmly that the duct tape was placed on Caylee pre-mortem and that the hair in the trunk was post-mortem and that the terrible smell was not "trash"...

I expect a bang up closing by the State. I don't know if I can sit throught the Defense's case (yeah, I'm sure I will, but expect more frown lines afterwards)...

Justice for Caylee...

Oh dear, My iPad doesn't play nice with my fingers. I corrected it as I meant to type sarcastically "ICAs bestist" buddy.

Thanks for clearing that up......I had all kinds of nasty thoughts floating through my mind.:floorlaugh:

if I remember correctly she also has a serial killer's wife on her defense team to..who helped pick this jury with them..

Rosie Bolin, who disappeared, thankfully. This gal, Jeanne, has been the first mitigation specialist.. A Lyon(s) brought her on board what, 2 years ago now.

Does the jury not get to go out to resturants?

Are they not able just to get up and go to the mall if they want, or to CVS, walmart?

Like I like to get off by myself sometimes, are they not allowed to do that?

The Defense's job is to discredit or poke holes in the expert testimony. It would help if it made sense, but it doesn't IMO hide the facts put forth by the prosecution nor does it make the evidence disappear. The State was very thorough in their testing. They took the samples of the bay to rule out anything found in the air sample in the trunk. I'm confused by one thing (ok, a lot!), how does the defense think Caylee was transported after she died in the pool? If Casey' car was used in their scenario (as in George has a set of keys too), wouldn't there have been a presence of decomp. By trying to rule out the "smell" and evidence found in the car, aren't they proving their other statements to be false?

Hair caught in the tie string of the trash bag, could have been the reason that it was left in the car.
