The man couldn't even spell IRON! Why didn't he just write FE? I'm mortified that I live in the same state with these folks!

He couldn't spell "iron". How in the WORLD could he know what FE stands for? He's not a chemist! :)

Just heard Greta on FOX News calling Dr Vass silly!
Wow, FOX has all gone pro defense, I'm done with them.

LOL the lady talking to GVS says JB made a fool of himself crossing AV. She said the jury loved AV. GVS is just still livin the OJ trial and saying the prosecution didn't need AV...overprosecution...saying it was stupid. Was GVS a defense attorney. Oh be quiet GVS. It wasn't too bad...she just wants to tout her experience with the OJ trial. She said the judge wouldn't let JB question AV about bias. The other lady said Bias? I'll tell you about Baez..he made a fool of himself.

"The defense then voluntarily withdrew the subpoena, but indicated it wanted to call Vass as an expert witness of its own after the state had rested."

From Wesh.com's nice summary of today's events. Really? They plan on using Vass too? After they tried to discredit the poor guy's life work? Haven't they put him through enough?

Heh... I'm sure Dr. Vass is going to be real cooperative with Baez after he spent the better part of the afternoon attempting to make him look like a kook.

After JB objected over and over, calling Dr. Vass "not a chemist", "not a biologist", etc.... I wanted HHJP to turn towards JB and say "...and you, Mr. Baez...are not a lawyer".

Silly why? Because he stared at the ceiling during sidebars to keep from laughing out loud at Baez and his questioning?:floorlaugh:

Well, just watched Anderson Cooper right now and they seemed to have gotten it right. They say prosecution's expert witness was very convincing, that kc showed very little to no emotion today and that the defense really scored no points today.

IMO Dr Vass was very professional today. I saw he was very dedicated to his field of study. Defense tactics did not come close to refuting his years of studies. He stayed steadfast with his expertise and what he believes as facts. and that is all we can ask of an expert witness. The defense questioning was so way out there and borderlined on imbacelic, sic, haha.

Jose: "Assumptions are sometimes relevant in conclusions!? *bats mic out of the way* and

Oh my, Jose knows so little about science!

Here is a quote from the wiki for Statistical Hypothesis, the Testing Process:
In the statistical literature, statistical hypothesis testing plays a fundamental role.[6] The usual line of reasoning is as follows:
We start with a research hypothesis of which the truth is unknown.
The first step is to state the relevant null and alternative hypotheses. This is important as mis-stating the hypotheses will muddy the rest of the process. Specifically, the null hypothesis allows to attach an attribute: it should be chosen in such a way that it allows us to conclude whether the alternative hypothesis can either be accepted or stays undecided as it was before the test.[7]
The second step is to consider the statistical assumptions being made about the sample in doing the test; for example, assumptions about the statistical independence or about the form of the distributions of the observations. This is equally important as invalid assumptions will mean that the results of the test are invalid.
Decide which test is appropriate, and stating the relevant test statistic T.
Derive the distribution of the test statistic under the null hypothesis from the assumptions. In standard cases this will be a well-known result. For example the test statistics may follow a Student's t distribution or a normal distribution.
The distribution of the test statistic partitions the possible values of T into those for which the null-hypothesis is rejected, the so called critical region, and those for which it is not.
Compute from the observations the observed value tobs of the test statistic T.
Decide to either fail to reject the null hypothesis or reject it in favor of the alternative. The decision rule is to reject the null hypothesis H0 if the observed value tobs is in the critical region, and to accept or "fail to reject" the hypothesis otherwise.

Littman on GVS. Saying again that it was the State that warned them what the DT was up to. LOVE. IT.

After JB objected over and over, calling Dr. Vass "not a chemist", "not a biologist", etc.... I wanted HHJP to turn towards JB and say "...and you, Mr. Baez...are not a lawyer".

You know, I'm seriously waiting for just one person to do this to Baez during his questioning.
:great:

I've no idea who this Greta person is, but my response to her is: no u

But if I had to guess, I'd wager she's a clueless talking head who knows as much about Dr Vass as he probably cares to know about her.

I felt sick listening to his testimony, even had to turn away for a couple of hours just because I can't imagine a child going through such a thing, no matter how natural the process may or may not be. Casey just sat there, it didn't bother her in the least. I didn't even see "very little" emotion from her today.:banghead:

How did JB spell Iron?

PS I think electronic leashes on flies is an excellent idea. Can you imagine how people must have thought the Wright Brotehrs were crazy!

Why do you think Jose wanted "Dr." Vass to come down from the stand to spell it out for him on his drawing board ???? LMAO

Greta is full of it! She was in the courtroom today! We saw her come in right after Dr. Vass and Lippman was right behind her. She sat on the same side as George and Cindy!! OMG...she disgusts me! Dr. Vass testified to much more than sniffing death....her words. What about the chloroform, Greta??

She and Jerry Rivers...."Geraldo's" real name.....are such ~unusual people~

That was so weird! I don't get that? Was this his visual for the jury?

Good questions all!!!...Wish I was a fly on the wall of the Anthony home.

I'm sure GA and CA go home at the end of the day and discuss the day's events. I mean..........at this time this is the most major thing in their life.

They've held some preconceived ideas for almost three years until their realization back in mid-April that the defense was claiming that Caylee died on June 16, 2008 in the family pool, and the defense plan was to blame them.

A lot of what the state is presenting is new to the Anthonys. This is information they refused to hear as their focus was on "the nanny kidnapped Caylee." So I wonder how they're absorbing all this and what their thoughts are?

Well, the way I see it, she had nothing to react to, right? After all she went "through" it, at least the first stage he described - maybe even the second, considering the heat. She's an "expert" now! A mere description couldn't possibly match hands on experience.
