Find it interesting that JB now wants the witnesses to address jury, "please tell the jury"

There is no other person testing evidence like this . How do we know this guy who made a huge mistake in READING his own label.

What if a chain of small no big deals went completely down the chain?

It wouldnt have been a big deal if Vass caught it yesterday but his testimony was about other evidence. He might have thought it was the right evidence but it wasnt . That is huge and if it was done on purpose by the state people would lose jobs and conviction of other people overturned.

If you cant trust the evidence what can you?

You keep asserting that Dr Vass misread his own label when in fact JA was the one who made the error.

#JoseBaez asks Rickenbach to explain the GCMS: Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (WOW!) #CaseyAnthony

When JB stands to cross his first statement is "I want to talk" he catches himself...he really does want to get his thoughts on the record rather than question the witness.

He doesn't ask questions so much as make his statements. JMO

Can chloroform in a gas state leave a residue or would it have to have been liquid chloroform? Anyone know? I'm not a chemist so...

BAEZ!!!! There was no chlorine in the swimming pool.

The chloroform was from a bathing suit. Ah.

As much as we don't want to admit it, and as much as we quite possible hate the fact, JB is getting in some good points today especially. If the only evidence in this case (which it isn't) was the air tests and chromotography, then the DT could very well introduce reasonable doubt. There are all kinds of ways... chain of evidence problems; calibration problems; problems with organic compounds being in other "situations" in nature outside of a human decomposition event... etc... so I hope the jury is paying attention to all of the plethora of other evidence which, when they connect the dots, will lead to KC's conviction.

Don't hit me :-)

This is chemistry and "dry" scientific testimony, but the #CaseyAnthony jury is definitely paying attention.

Hm. Juror 11 was sitting forward during the prosecution, but kicking back for the cross examination. Usually is opposite. #CaseyAnthony

JB is muddying the issue. Small in one application does not equal small in another.

Apples and oranges.....

But the anthonys didnt use chlorine in their pool JB! :loser:

JB seems to be doing a good job. He's staying on target, bringing up good points, trying to further his swimming pool theory, being fairly courteous, etc.

JB asks what he means by residues of chloroform
JB asks if chloroform can be found if common household products & drinking water.
witness agrees
JB brings up swimming pool, swimsuit in trunk, could it generate results found.

:floorlaugh:

Baez is trying to endear himself to the jury...he is now addressing the judge, SA's and the witness...egads...I'm guessing the jury consultant is telling him to make the jury LIKE him....

It will never work..

I can see her getting it from somewhere. And I can see her thinking, If I put more of it with Caylee, she'll stay knocked out longer. I don't think she would understand evaporation of chloroform or anything like that. She probably didn't bother to learn anything about beyond either making it or where to get it.

Sorry guys... laptop died - working on my mini and missed most of Rickenbach's testimony - see Chiquita and Mombomb's posts.....I will try to keep up but mini is very slow
