That's interesting. I don't remember the State mentioning JG's name in the opening statement. Is there a transcript of the written opening statement somewhere? Anyone?
Not that I'm aware of but I listened to it all again this evening and I wrote down every time his name was mentioned in the OS. 3 times his name was mentioned

I've heard speculation that the state is saving some witnesses for rebuttal. I hope nobody important. The defense might very well rest their case without putting on a defense. Mason did that in one of his big trials. Certainly fits the defense M.O. of taking the easy way out. The state would be prevented from putting on rebuttal witnesses. Seems risky.

I actually sat on a jury where that happened. Nothing offerred by the defense except to rebut what the SA put out there. It was a sexual molestation case and guess what the verdict was......Guilty....75 years....$50,000 fine. In the penalty phase a step daughter of the man testified he had molested her over 20 years ago. There would have been no question as to our verdict had we known that, but fortunantely we had enough evidence to make the correct decision. We wished we would have known that during trial, but in the end it really didn't matter.

I was thinking that too.. It just seems when all the world is spinning that The Fathers day is easier to spit out than coming up with a date ..just too logical ..

I'm not typically a Cindy supporter, but I gotta say .....SHE WAS FLIPPIN' OUT!
Caylee was now missing (news to her) and the car smelled like a dead body!

I dare anyone to be completely rational in that moment. It's surreal! It's a shock,an out of body experience, like this can't really be happening, this happens to other people on the news, flippin out:crazy:

I'll have to listen to it again. I'm surprised now that JB has not brought JG's name up if he didn't yet, since I cannot think of a better witness for him but maybe I'm overestimating the importance of that statement made by JG.

Well Cindy did say 31 days..ya only need to look at a calender..I guess that would be a moot arguement..

Actually, it was KC who said 31 days, but also said "June 9th', which is more than 31 days.

CA said "a month" but @ the same time also said "June 7th" which is more than a month.

I'm simply noticing the discrepancy in the time frame & the dates (including the missing child poster with the missing date as June 9, 2008).

And then there's GA saying he saw KC and Caylee on the morning of June 16.

Who had the missing child poster printed with the June 9th date & when?

If it was the first one...it could have been LE. In lots of the early docs they had the date(s) wrong. It used to drive us crazy.

Whats wrong with that Wendy Murphy? We need a topic here about the HLN shows. She spouts the most ridiculous stuff and gets away with it. She says Caylee was not with Casey on the 16th and that Casey did not have her car on the 16th. She is intimating that Caylee was at home with george or the grandparents. She has cooked up this whole other scenario. Also, this other guess thinks the State has a lousy case and proved nothing. HLN is trying to get that murderer off and it makes me mad by having all these pro defense witnesses on day after day and no one on poor Caylee's side. I can barely watch that channel anymore.

TGIH for sequestered jurors!

Pheobeb, if the one in the duct tape thread is not the one you are looking for but the actual pink sticker photo I am looking for it now. I looked at it just two days ago on a MSM PDF file that contained pics of the lettering from shirt, the tattered clothing, the pooh blanket and other items found at crime scene. If I find it I will link it

http://www.wftv.com/slideshow/news/21249759/detail.html

1st slide off center top right looks like it is there, can see the bottom part of the heart upside down. If indeed that is it. The lines look to well formed not to be.

I can't see it now. For some reason, my computer does not like wftv's slideshow. Screen goes black so I can't navigate photos. The CSI said heart shape "on one of the corners on the edge of the duct tape"

Maybe I just had a strong mental picture in my mind. IDK

Thanks, tlox- no, it wasn't the pink heart on the brown paper(?) It was the actual duct tape FBI photos where I thought I saw a clear outline or residue of a heart shape. Thanks so much!

I agree with you.

I don't find any of the family members likeable myself but KC is on trial for the murder of Caylee. CA and GA and LA are not. If they ever have charges brought against them in the future then I will have a look at them but I haven't really seen any chargable offenses. Even the hairbrush debacle, which was nasty and spiteful but could still be explained away easily in court. JMHO

Gotta tell ya, Miss James....I thank you for keeping it forefront, but every time I read one of your posts, and then see your signature photo...I get all enraged again! :banghead:

Anyone see that screenshot pop up in media tonight??? I would LOVE to see Baez face when HE sees it...and knows the world has seen it too!!! :rocker:

I wonder if Nancy Grace has seen that picture yet?:innocent:

I think we'll see more witnesses before the State rests, just short and sweet and quick. But yes,I think that's a possibility. The DT could choose to rest as well. I still trust the SA's!

That's maybe what a NORMAL defense would do.

No way in hades will Baez miss out on the opportunity to try to tear Kronk apart on the stand. Of course, shooting himself in the foot instead.....

It's an ego thing with Baez. :loser:

Gah! I can't wait to see who will testify tomorrow!
Could the FBI have located the daddy? I think so. They have had 3 years.

What about NCIS. Didn't they get involved. too. ?
Have we heard from anyone from NCIS? If. not... maybe an expert from there?

You're right, NCIS prepared a report of statements provided to them by Mark Hawkins (link below). I doubt we'll hear from Naval personnel; there's just not much to Mark's statements, really. My opinion, of course. You may decide otherwise. :)

Risky? It seems crazy as I don't feel the defense has proved much reasonable doubt yet. JB brought up a few questions to think about...one being GA's reaction of not calling police immediately when he smelled the decomposition, but for me it does not say that this means GA actually knew Caylee was dead already. A few other good points were made by JB but he's going to have to throw a bomb in there to refute much of the testimony.

Well, although today was rather dry, I got what I really wanted-- a death band hair with Caylee's remains. That is a nice strong connection, imo.

The prosecution is AWESOME!!!!!!!! They know that "sometimes less is more". Why bring in a bunch of information that may give the case a little boost, but also gives the DT a chance to muddy things up some more? "Just the facts, ma'am"
