Okay Lanie :) It's cool.

My POV on Baez is that he is very passive agressive. LOL. He usually maintains a slow and deliberate and even tone of voice in comparison to other attn's I've watched (and I am not by any means qualified to make any judgements, I'm just a layperson). Which I have seen JA respond to---in a angry sort of way...to Baez' passive agressiveness. I think a lot of that has to do with Baez : A) May not have the personality requirements to lead counsel on major media cases (he certainly does not have the experience IMHO). B) is listening to other attn's on the DT on how his demeanor should be and it isn't ringing true because it isn't who he is C) he might feel like he's in way over his head (and he is IMHO).

I do appreciate your POV though thanks for sharing!

BBM... And I bet he was OPPOSITIONAL DEFIANT as a child. moo
:maddening:

Or it could mean that he really thought it must have been an accident. Like he knew ICA was involved, but he wasn't able to believe that it was intentional.

Either way, even if what he told RC is true, I don't think he had anything to do with Caylee's death. He loved her. That is so apparent.

Was a depo done on her or was it in one of the interviews at that time she said GA said he thought it was an accident that snowballed? He expressed a similar opinion to LE just used different wording IIRC.

LOL Quiche for some reason that made me think of Oh Brother where art thou? don't ask haha i need a nap. (the one dude with the hat and beard)

I'm not watching LKB, but if she's so convinced that the defense could prove their case, why did she bail?

Vinnie needs to ask her that question.............and she sure didn't do to well for Phil Spector

Can they really put RC on the stand to testify that GA said that to her? She's recanted in the media about the affair? Can't she be impeached by that? TIA

wouldn't her testimony about what George told her be hearsay?

Hello, JustMeDeb - April's son drowned in late 2007 - prior to Caylee's death. I think it is very possible that KC heard about this prior to entering jail. Once April was incarcerated, word probably got around that she is the mother of the boy who drowned and that's all that KC needed to weave her tale. Now, if the SA plans to introduce this into evidence - they will need a lot more than my assumptions, imo, but...I don't have a bit of trouble believing that KC took this page from April's life book.

Always, moo

They would only introduce it if they can trace the story through KC somehow. They are only going to put facts before the jury, imo, they can leave the innuendo to the DT. imo

I figure it must have been special since the way he likes to comment on it.
It was funny last week when he giggle about it.
Did you see the menu on the desserts?

I did and am salivating! I friended her on facebook and this is from her wall....

"The Dessert Lady.
What a fun day. Judge gave us a shout out for Friday dessert. Now all if you need to come in for happy hour and enjoy some of the same goodness they were treated to."

I respect his honor so much for the great care he is taking of the jury while they are putting their lives on hold to endure this trial that gets more insane by the day. He is honestly a good, good man!

wouldn't her testimony about what George told her be hearsay?

I don't think so,because that was a conversation between him and her,if someone else told her that George said that, that would be hearsay

I'm not sure that the gatorade bottle/and syringe should be introduced by the SA.

They have an incredibly strong case as it is and introducing that might muddle some things. IIRC the chloroform found wasn't substantial and there is the problem that testosterone was found in it as well. To me that would muddy very clear waters that the SA has set forth. JMHO though.

They have rested. If they were going to bring it in they would have already. Unless, of course, the DT comes up with something regarding it. imo:seeya:

fellow sidebarsleuths!!!!!!!!!! I over heard jp on the phone today and you won't believe what he said................

I was looking at the Wikipedia listing for The Body Farm over the weekend, and saw by looking at the history entries that the information regarding William Rodriguez being a co-founder was added early this year.

An old revision notation made 20 January 2011 showed that only Mr Bass as a founder.

Whereas, an old revision of this page, as edited by 74.76.128.228 (talk) at 03:43, 26 February 2011 showed this change:

"University of Tennessee at Knoxville

The original "Body Farm" is the University of Tennessee Anthropological Research Facility located a few miles from downtown off of Alcoa Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee, behind the University of Tennessee Medical Center. It was first started in late 1981 by anthropologists William M. Bass and Bill Rodriguez as a facility for study of the decomposition of human remains. Anthropologist Dr. William M. Bass became head of the university's anthropology department in 1971, and as official state forensic anthropologist for Tennessee he was frequently consulted in police cases involving decomposed human remains. Since no facilities existed that specifically studied decomposition, in 1981 he opened the department's first body farm."

You can tell by the wording in the last sentence above that someone was not very careful when they attempted to state that Rodriguez was a co-founder.

That listing was changed again back to Bass being the single founder on June 19th of this year.

Anyhow, my question for whoever might remember is, a few weeks ago, there was a similar Wikipedia change of information regarding one of the witnesses, I believe. Does anyone remember who it was?

Just a thought, but JB probably got himself an account and added that bit of info. Anybody can..

Okay thanks for all the wonderful discussion today everyone! I really like to read everyone's viewpoints (especially when they differ from mine! :))

But--given where I live (yes I'm in the USA but not the lower 48 haha) I have been up since 2:30 AM my time in order to hear testimony.

I'm going to go lay down and watch NG (which starts at 2 PM my time) and more than likely will have a little nap (especially if LKB is on haha!)

Take care and if I don't have time to sign back on today and catch up, I'll see you all tomorrow sometime :seeya: (TY JP for taking a day off sheew these early mornings are killah! :D)

Can I take Excedrine with a beer chaser?:waitasec:
I got to watch most of today's trial. If I never watch another trial, never follow another crime, today's testimony by Dr.Wise and his questions posed by JB should go down in history. :rocker:

I am not a youngun....this isn't my first rodeo either,:floorlaugh: but I have never seen a defense lawyer attack a defense witness like JB did. :loser:
I literally cracked up at some of the questions and comments made by JB.
I wish Dr. Wise a good evening and a HUGE thank you for the service he did for the STATE. :great:

If I understood correctly, chloroform can be used to get high? And body builders will inject testosterone to bulk up? What if someone (male) decided to combo the two (bulk up and have fun doing it), ICA finds the bottle/syringe and it became a "crime of opportunity" (if that is the right phrase).

This isn't my first "radio" either. Hung in all day. May I be excused to rise again tomorrow? Thanks, all.

Or it could simply be a father, hoping against hope, that his daughter didn't do this on purpose. Kind of the old - if I say it's an accident enough, maybe people will believe me, and maybe I'll believe it myself.

I think George and Cindy knew Caylee died in that car because of the smell
and i think he wanted to believe it was an accident that something happened and KC tried to cover it up.

I thought they made Meth with it!

LKB is getting lots of mileage on her new face. Wonder if she asked for the Cher look alike. I wish she'd get off my tv.

I don't like to think of the smear campaign GA is going to have to endure.
BBM
A few years ago I was traveling on business and happened to be in a city where the Amer Assn of Plastic Surgeons was having their annual conference. On my first couple of days there, I kept running into the same woman wherever I went. Over and over and over again. Was she tailing me, I wondered. I decided to keep on the alert. Very soon I realized that it wasn't the same woman but many, many different women that were strikingly similar in shape, height and hair color. Their features were eerily the same as well; unnaturally plumped lips, recalculated noses with the same upturned dimension, wrinkle free faces that didn't move. OMG. Not the same women at all but the same face everywhere! I became very distraught and frighteningly self conscious. I felt like "the thing" you're asked to pick out from a grouping that doesn't belong. I checked out several days early and came home.

[The only embellishment was the part where I stated the woman might be tailing me. That was simply me taking dramatic license. Like Jose Baez when he made his OS. Except my story is true. I promise.]

There is not point to my post...but your comment about LKB made the memory coming rushing back. Sorry for going O/T.
