In regard to the poster who thought maybe JB didn't have any choice in presenting this defense, I have wondered about this also. I don't know what defense attorneys do when they are presented with an outlandish story by their client. Are they forced to go with what they insist is the truth, even though all evidence points elsewhere? I asked RH about this once and got no reply. I guess they don't want to give out their secrets.
But, I keep coming back to all the evidence he is trying to refute that doesn't matter if the baby drowned.
No matter what he believes, imo, he thinks he can outwit all of the witnesses and the evidence. He has a particular dislike for LE and science experts that disagree with him, and JB has made this much more personal than it ever needed to be. Whatever hot water he is in right now is by his own making. That is JMO and I am sticking to it.

A few years ago I was traveling on business and happened to be in a city where the Amer Assn of Plastic Surgeons was having their annual conference. On my first couple of days there, I kept running into the same woman wherever I went. Over and over and over again. Was she tailing me, I wondered. I decided to keep on the alert. Very soon I realized that it wasn't the same woman but many, many different women that were strikingly similar in shape, height and hair color. Their features were eerily the same as well; unnaturally plumped lips, recalculated noses with the same upturned dimension, wrinkle free faces that didn't move. OMG. Not the same women at all but the same face everywhere! I became very distraught and frighteningly self conscious. I felt like "the thing" you're asked to pick out from a grouping that doesn't belong. I checked out several days early and came home.

[The only embellishment was the part where I stated the woman might be tailing me. That was simply me taking dramatic license. Like Jose Baez when he made his OS. Except my story is true. I promise.]

There is not point to my post...but your comment about LKB made the memory coming rushing back. Sorry for going O/T.

That's a rather frightening story. I'll probably have nightmares about it tonight. Of course, they won't be as bad as the one last week, where I dreamed I was one of the Anthony's. And lived in their house. Dang near woke up screaming. :floorlaugh:

On a serious note, CM should take over the witnesses. When he did handle a witness he was far better than Baez, IMO.

I think - and I have no evidence of this - that Baez isn't allowing CM at the podium. Baez is (sadly) lead attorney, so it's his call, and he's making bad ones.

Agree...I don't think JB wants anybody to help him unless he asks and he does run back and forth to the table but............I think he STILL does not get it that he has been in the wrong...he thinks the judge and everyone else is just wrong.....and therein lies the problem.

She refuses to admit to dumping her child like garbage as well so pass that blame onto someone else. She acted like she could care less her daughter just died having the time of her life and blames that behavior on someone else. Very clear pattern here.

Yes it is very clear!
And I'm hoping & praying that she has become crystal clear to her parents as well. As horrible and difficult as that is to them.
I believe the only way they ( CA & GA ) can heal, is to see everything as it truely is.
It is difficult to understand how she can go on and on and on with the lies! Good grief! It is so obvious, so. very. obvious.

Awesome post!!! He has had 3 frigging years...if she drowned he surely has known yet they sat by and let the searches go on to just name one thing. There are many others and nobody can convince me she has sat in jail for 3 years because of that......took them all this time to hone the story,IMO

As of this evening, April apparently did an interview with JVM staff claiming she had NEVER had contact or communication with ICA, so IF ICA learned of this drowning, it was through another inmate who she DID have contact with....

.....which brings up the speculation in my mind as to whether or not RA is the inmate who repeated the story to ICA either in person or in passed notes (since we know both took place). I am also not convinced we have read ALL the correspondence between ICA and RA....remember the "don't forget to flush" comments by ICA? Wonder how many letters are in the OC sewer system....

So can SA now go back and question RA about whether or not SHE had any contact or communication with ANY other inmate concerning April's story?

Good points! If April Whalen didn't have direct contact with KC, if KC did hear it, it would have to be from another inmate. I would think inmates experience a lot of boredom and gossip is something that helps pass the time. RA is a likely candidate.

I think under different circumstances I could really feel for Baez and consider him tragic. Here you have (from all we know about him) a mediocre man with a fantastic ego who has an inability to accept help, a huge need for respect and an extrodinary sense of entitlement. His defense is clearly half *advertiser censored**ed and he had complete confidence in it. It seems he has a complete lack of self knowledge. And most of us know the chances of him ever "getting it" ? Slim to none. Tough row to hoe.

Think LDB dropping this in court today was more of a warning to the Defense team than anything. This little tidbit caused quite a stir today in the court of public opinion. Reminder to JB that the state nor the public has forgotten the play his opening got.

As someone posted earlier this information already hit the international papers/news. :twocents:

an exception for prior inconsistent statements or at least that's the rationale I heard. Although another TH said the exception was "state of mind" which doesn't make much sense. I think that may narrow the scope as I believe GA, on the stand, only said he didn't witness the drowning or find Caylee or something to that effect. I don't believe he ever said it wasn't an accident in any of his testimony plus I'm not sure what the witness is testifying to, that GA knew it was an accident or that he thought it was an accident or that he hoped it was an accident.

I don't think so,because that was a conversation between him and her,if someone else told her that George said that,that would be hearsay

I have always wondered why the SA kept insisting the duct tape was the murder weapon ....not so much relying on the chloroform in statements (at least that has been my take on the whole thing)....maybe the Home Depot videos show purchases after the death and really was used to try and clean up....just wondering that...but if they have video before 6/15/08 of KC purchasing components for chloroform that would be the last nail (I think)

Can someone please tell me if the Home Depot videos were admitted into evidence during Court? I know that they were turned over to the defense team just before jury selection started, but have they been admitted as evidence?

If they were admitted during the prosecution's case in chief, then it is very possible that they will bring them up during their rebuttal.

Playing JA questioning Dr. Bock over and over again about Caylee's hip bone being buried and it seems like he choked on her suggestion of a dog or coyote.

I noticed this too. I thought he actually choked down a laugh.

Good decision, but I don't know that I could have done it, I had exactly the same reaction watching online and I didn't choke it back.

In any case, I thought it was effective, oddly.

Yup. And it's WONDERFUL.

Like a mother who knows something's going on with her kids, they are getting into trouble but hiding it... she walks in and *reminds* them that Santa's watching everything. LOL
