In response to Leila's post:
I worry about this whole case honestly.
I know most of you think that the judge is doing a great job.
I think he's letting Baez get away with things that no lawyer should be allowed to get away with.
This isn't a head of state on trial, just a <modsnip> girl who treated HER girl like trash.
I also think there will be appeals for years to come:
They didn't get the jury they wanted.
They were rushed.
They didn't get witnesses they wanted.
Etc, etc., etc.
And as for the juror who can't judge someone- Why didn't the judge let the prosecution get rid of her?
She can hang this jury so fast if she chooses.
I don't see any of this as an open and shut case.
The evidence IS in my opinion, but the system seems to bend over backwards for the accused, NOT the victim.
It makes me so sad to think that even in death, poor little Caylee still has no voice, no one is listening, no one who SHOULD care actually does care.
Meanwhile, her mom has become infamous and has a TEAM of people jumping through hoops trying every trick in the book to get her off of a crime she needs to pay for.
This trial makes me feel so depressed about our legal system.
