research labs are often the ones that make up the protocols used by forensic labs. Hope that helps.

Remember the sticky heart residue? The forensic lab followed protocals because that's what they do. That evidence was lost. IMO They are really not paid to think, but to run proceedures & follow rules and document the results.

A reasearch lab would have seen it, said Hey...this is interesting...let me take photos ...before I start a process that will destroy it. See what I mean?

thanks - that really does help - I hope that this point can be reinforced by JA during his cross or during their rebuttal

Ummm. bugs care more fore their babies than KC. Just sayin.

I have a much harder time killing the little buggers after hearing that testimony. :banghead: Makes me feel bad that I might be killing someone's mommy who takes good care of her babies.

This trial is really making me crazy... me thinks?

Checking in for the afternoon session. I haven't had a chance to peruse trial thread or sidebar but am curious to know if there was any "bombshell" testimony this morning or a "Surprise, surprise!" witness.

For my fine wine friends, I will be opening a nice bottle of Pinot Noir later this afternoon - maybe after the 3:00 recess. Cheers!

Never had Chicago style pizza BUT .. I haven't had a decent pizza since we moved to Florida from Buffalo/Niagara Falls NY... and don't even get me started on Chicken wings. !! :maddening::maddening:

Ya, Florida has sucky pizza.

Back when I was a kid (dinosaurs were roaming) we used to get our pizza from a place called Mae and Dave's in Hialeah. They had the best pizza on earth!

OT - I don't normally watch trials, who is the pretty girl with auburn hair that sits/stands in front of the judge and swears people in?

Lunch is romaine lettuce, onions, and chicken breast with a lemon/olive oil dressing, a small wedge of cataloupe. and unsweet tea. Jealous? ;)

Lunch recess over at 1:30, right? Might have time to vacuum.

No jealousy here, I don't eat animals or their products. :cow:

All that matters is if you are enjoying it Kat, and it sounds as though you are. :great:

Giordano's beats Uno's hands down, IMHO (Lived in Chi-town for 6 years, loved it) Uno's has a cornmeal crust. I'm not a fan.

Actually the best pizza I have ever had in my life is Falco's in Burr Ridge. they've been in business since 1964 so that speaks for itself. (imo individual owned pizzeria's beat any chains including Giordano's hands down.)

Fresh from the factory, enough for everyone!
the blue part is my favorite!

I think the computer expert the DT is calling is going to get fun... :)

So I fell asleep again during testimony of the first witness and just got up 15 minutes ago. Did I miss anything too incredibly important? I'm assuming I didn't.

I most certainly am not enjoying it! I would enjoy pizza...a bomb pop...I'd even take Teh's potato chips and cheese right now. :banghead:

You know, I was just thinking. 4th of July is next weekend. Caylee would have known the "Pledge of Allegiance" and possibly the "Star Spangled Banner" by now.

Sad.

ewww, I hate cornmeal crust on pizza--got surprised with one of those a few months ago, yuck. Thanks for the info.

I know there is a huge rivalry between Malnati's and Giordano's. Which do you think is better and why?

i am eating a bomb pop and typing w one finger lol

Last night I took 6 boneless skinless chicken breast, 2 jars picante sauce, a can of rotel and some cilantro put it in the crockpot for 10 hours. Served it on tortilla's with mexicaan cheese....yummy! Next time I'll try to make enough for eveyone here and serve it with tequila...especially if we have more forensic witnesses!

I do understand, and I am sure the jury understands as well. I personally have always felt that the state wanted the truth to be known. This trial has made me realize that that is not the case. The state wants to win the trial, and the truth has nothing to do with it. JMO

Well, to be absolutely equitable, one must admit that obviously the defense has certainly only wanted to win themselves, and have engaged in numerous ethically questionable strategies in order to do so, up to and including shameless manipulation of the media for fun and profit, refusing to act in the best interest of their client on numerous occasions, and attempting to create a level of psychological collateral damage on innocent bystanders of an intensity that is generally seen only in terrorist attacks .

If the truth has nothing to do with the trial, or the state is limited in any way from discovering it, it is because the truth and the defendant (and her team apparently) have always been strangers.
