Wow. What a day.

I think Kronk held his own. And at this point, I have no idea which Anthonys are on what side.

Very bizarre testimony from what I saw of the coverage earlier on HLN. Lee contradicting Cindy and then goes to sit beside her? George, imo wasn't totally truthful about the alleged affair but then again sits beside Cindy.

All in all though, it really has nothing to do with Caylee's murder so what the defense was trying to prove was totally lost on me and I would venture to guess it was lost on this jury as well. The only score I could see was for the pros assuming the jury took notice. If she lied about DC, is she capable of lying about the chloroform searches and the ladder?

Kinda discredits the testimony the DT attempted ( and failed) to get in evidence of Casey the Always Happy Camper:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Sorry, I am sure this has already been discussed, but I really had to take a break when Court finally adjourned.

Could someone pretty please tell me what ya'll figured out about the jail guards' proffers? What was JB's point? To show that ICA is a model prisoner? To sway public opinion? Did ICA make him do it so she could listen to people say nice things about her? Both the guards seemed very uncomfortable in my opinion.

TIA - this trial is making me

Also, why would OCSO have had a necropsy done on the snake?

If I understood correctly, which is totally questionable..LOL, DT said it goes to their theory of defense - which I took to mean that no matter what's going on, ICA goes along in "her world" as if everything is just fine.

I've been trying to figure out the schedule. The defense says they have 6 witnesses left, although if the are allowed to present the grief counselor that would be 7. There were 7 witnesses today, so it's possible to present those left tomorrow. But, we have Ann Finnell's motion tomorrow too. If Casey insists on testifying that could take the better part of another day.

I don't think the defense will rest their case until late on Thursday. The state has stated their rebuttal will take 1 - 2 days. Then the judge will give the jury their instructions.

If Casey testifies I don't think the jury will get the case until late Saturday afternoon. If she doesn't testify, it's possible for the state to conclude their rebuttal Friday afternoon and the jury to get the case either late Friday or early Saturday.

HHJP says no. I forgot exactly how he put it. It's not coming in.

I agree with TH on this. Her smiling and pleasant everyday while she is standing trial for the DP for the murder of her child would "NOT" help the defense.

Did anyone notice that ICA had to put her shoes back on before she left? She stood up, pulled out her chair (at first I thought she was going to wrap cords like old times) but she moved something to behind her chair on the floor and pushed her chair in and you could see her movements were putting her shoes back on (slipping her feet in) just kind of disturbed me with how comfy she gets seated there.

I think he was trying to show (as in his OS) that her reaction to being in jail, among other things, was not that of a "normal" person.

Sidebar usually stays open till the next morning. And there's always someone to communicate with in here. Night owls, posters all over the world..

Thank You for responding, Nali87! The couple of times that I've tried both threads were closed though. Hmmm, maybe I just happened along during housekeeping or something? <shrugs>

Anyone? Did I hear GA say "to this day, I have not found my granddaughter"? WTH?

Baez is trying to show that Casey doesn't react properly to situations, that the physical abuse she suffered at the hands of her brother and father has left her emotional befuddled to the point that she went on a stealing and partying spree immediately following the drowning death of her child.

I didn't notice today, but I HAVE noticed before. VERY disturbing...

For anyone questioning RKs "preparedness" (is that a word!?)

I was involved in wrongful death/malpractice lawsuit involving my dad years ago. I was depositioned by the doctors and the pharmacists laywers, there was 5 at the table, me, a court reporter & I think my mom was there (I was 17 at the time)

I was terrified. Our lawyer didnt prepare us in anyway (how to answer, what to say and not to say), and they bent my words around to make it sound like I was making things up. It was awful. They made me sound like a liar, it was amazing. I couldnt imagine what it would have been like if our case went to trial.

So guilty or innocent, you need to be ready. Because being in front of a lawyer is like being thrown to the lions.

Guys, I just had an unexpected positive, grateful thought about JB that I want to share with you all. It is:

Thank God he went into law instead of medicine!

SNAP..Though you said it much better.

Vinnie on HLN showing the differnce where Caylee was found by RK vs where DC searched. What a difference to actually look on here vs the photos. I wish they would show the jury something like this.

Yes, Vinnie made that distance very clear by pacing it out. It took 65 long strides to
go from where DC searched to where RK found the body!

If the defense is allowed to bring in the grief counselor, the prosecution needs to bring in a psychiatrist to explain, in general terms of course, that murdering sociopaths do not react the same way as other people and they adapt very well in jail/prison.

Anyone? Did I hear GA say "to this day, I have not found my granddaughter"? WTH?

In opening stmt JB said that ICA saw GA carrying Caylee and she was already dead (drowned in the pool). I *think* GA was trying to get across here that he never discovered Caylee dead anywhere....

MOO

Anyone? Did I hear GA say "to this day, I have not found my granddaughter"? WTH?

Yes...IMO he was conveying that he himself personally never found his granddaughter (refuting the DT's opening that GA had found Caylee lifeless in the family pool).

Keep in mind - Many of the witnesses that the DT calls, are ultimately not allowed to testify. This has happened many times!

If JB wants to show that RK used duct tape on Caylee, why did he make such a bit fuss about GA and the duct tape?
