If They Are Public Record Why Are 3 Media Stations Petitioning To Have Their Names Released ? The Media Could Just Go Look Up The Names .. Since It Is The Law.

The judge put a temporary seal on the names being released before trial. He hasn't released that seal.

I believe he said if he doesn't release them right away he would give them his ruling tomorrow possibly but that he is leaning toward a cooling off period. He might be thinking about waiting until after Casey is released.

It's always been that way and it's no reason to keep jurors' identities a secret when they are required by law to be revealed. HHJP needs to stop overruling the law and do the right thing.moo

I understand why the media is paying for it. Not why Disney is giving the jurors free trips there for doing a public service.

Did Disney pay with no other interest? Or are they linked to something, or did some other entity pay? I am not clear on this

After watching that feeling I would agree. JP certainly sounded very concerned. He also mentioned body parts being fed to piranhas several times.

So far alternate #14 did a media tour, #3 did the Disney abc dance and #2 talked to a newspaper anonymously. #6 has an agent and wants $. Am I missing anyone? That leaves other people. If they aren't running after the media I think they have a right to not be afraid of dismemberment. It's public record but the case is done. If there is some kind of jury misconduct as suggested here, JP and the court would figure that out.

There is no reason the names have to be released now when the everyone is so angry, emotional and threats are being made. JP made a point about possibly giving the jurors police protection and who would pay for that.

This is a potentially volatile situation. Hopefully things will calm down and things will be fine. Don't light the fuse on the powderkeg. douse it with water and let it sit for a while.

Being extra cautious seems prudent. Vigilantism and violence won't bring justice for Caylee.

If you feel some truth has to come out, it will still be there in August. The media doesn't care about Sunshine laws or getting justice. This is a hot story they can make money off of.

Judges are no more empowered to ignore the law than ICA is. Except this judge apparently feels that he is.

The media reporting on this crime is not a new phenomenom -- it's ALWAYS been that way, and long before America was even a nation.

Here in America we have a free press. We do not have secret juries or professional juries -- and for damn good reason. The judge is no more empowered to ignore the law and constitution than you or Casey.

Hopefully the good people of Florida who still actually care about the law will move to impeach this judge.

Not really unless they had the internet and twitter. In the 80's and before, people reported the news, you couldnt even say damn on tv and now people turn on the news in front of their kids and listen to reporting about a guy named Weiner who sent a pic of a penis to another woman, thats news now a days, and its a travesty.
