Prosecutors, especially in a death penalty case, should assume the jury needs to be spoon fed. They should assume that they need to rebut the absurd theories presented by the defense. They need to assume that they need to teach the jury about the law. The DT knew it.

All one has to do is to read Lord of the Flies to know that 99% of the time, the leader is going to be chosen on looks and popularity, not talent or expertise. The same thing happens with a jury. People who rely on juries in their daily job should know that they cannot expect a common sense jury. It's understandable that the public would expect it....but those of us who manage litigation for a living know that juries are malleable and that the winner is the one that has the capacity to give them form.

You are right. A number of us noted that the DT was "talking down" to the jury and wrongly believed that the jurors would not like it. The failure was that the PT did not over-simplify everything so that the jury would understand it. The comments from the jurors are shockingly evident of this.

One of the local reporters was talking about the tape from when Casey learned about remains being found Dec. 11th...can't remember her name, but anyway she said she was told the tape had no audio and only showed Casey doubling over and getting a sedative, so not sure why everyone thinks that would be so incriminating? I know Caylee had not been identified but she knew it was two blocks from her home, so why wouldn't she react, guilty or not? JMO

It is because KC did not react when there were reports of remains found in any other area. In those instances, she would merely smirk. However, when she discovered that remains had been located in the place that she "dumped" them, she reacted even before it was confirmed to have been the remains of Caylee.

Well Judge S felt differently, and said it was incriminating. JS also had the tape sealed.

I was praying for three years for justice for Caylee Marie. Something is wrong with this ending.

told not to allow her to watch tv because of events taking place; later said they wanted to do interview in medical section. Went to her cell, put her in restraints, no one seemed to remember that she had personal radio, knew they had some issue because of radio, showing some emotional distress at that point; took her her to medical, tv was on, increased emotional distress in that she sat down, didn't show any looks of serious, like she wanted to cry, but prevented herself from doing that; showed signs of despair the way she was holding herself; signs of hyperventilation with heavy deep breathing, thought she would throw up; dr. len branch had her for 15-20 mins interviewing her

asked to escort her to see medical staff around 11:35 "we took her down to medical to view the tv and see what was happening prior to her attorney getting here", mental health staff waiting to observe her; immediately looked at tv, collapsed into the chair and started to what appeared to be hyperventilating, she lost her breath, we told her a couple times to take deep breaths, sweating profusely, chains getting tighter and tighter on me, please loosen them; kept her head buried in her lap; her hands started turning red, she started getting red blotchy palms. audio on tv; talking about location; this went on for about 10 minutes when mental health said we think she's had enough (after 10 minutes) then went to psychologist; his main concern was to make sure she wouldn't do harm to herself.

p.m., first drug she took in jail; asked if attorney was coming; "this is surreel i can't break down and cry because this isn't real" and then she started talking about football, yeah, off the subject, started talking about the national championship, at the point her attorney came, around noon ; stood outside the room and watched; he told her what he thought and what had occurred; she did break down and cry in there; he asked for tissue, holding head in her hands crying. medical gave her sedative, she settled down; took very little notes; left area around 2:45, talking to miss pat the mental health counselor; asked if she could take a shower to see if she would feel better; took about a 10-minute shower. she appeared calmer when she came out of the shower. she was weird to talk to, not cold, not emotional. first time i had seen any emotion out of her

I guess I don't know too much about Law Enforcement and jail (only know people who have been there for DUI), but I didn't realize if you needed medical attention they could hold off and watch you and then say "she has had enough". That could be bad is someone had a heart attack or something. I knew they put the hand cuffs on and sometimes brings blood and they don't care. I guess there isn't humility in jail.
