Juror says he didn't believe the duct tape was placed at a later time. Believes body was dumped but does not know how it got there or who put it there. Does not know definitely how she died but can speculate to chloroform and drowning.

I hung a jury once. And heck yes I was bullied!

But I stuck to my guns.:angel:

a family member had a case and the jury was hung, she later was found not guilty in a bench trial. We don't know who hung it, but we are thankful for him/her everyday because sometimes innocent people are put on trial. :innocent:

the more i hear about jury statements the more i think the verdict should be overturned by the supreme court for jury misconduct. GA was not on trial. no evidence supported he was present for the death or coverup. he was not tied to the car. the jury decdied there was not enough evidence to convict casey but had the gall to thinkg GA did "something" with no proof!! the verdict should be illegal based on how they came to the decision.
i think when baez declared this crap in OS a mistrial should ahve been granted when he presented no proof. this is an outrage. im sorry but these jury statements should be transcribed and sent to the courts with litigation precedings

I don't agree with the verdict, BUT --

There's no such thing as overturning a verdict on the grounds of juror incompetence. I mean, it's almost impossible to overturn a guilty verdict when the evidence doesn't support it (a much more serious situation). There are plenty of people serving long sentences and even death sentences who had little or no evidence against them and had a jury who incompetently found them guilty in spite of that. This case is galling, but those cases are truly tragic.

I too, have performed this civic duty (didn't want to at first, but it turned out to be an incredibly interesting experience that I have never regretted), and that's exactly what we did. In fact, we asked several additional questions, all via note-to-Judge. I'm so with you on this point.

What a shame this jury didn't do the same. But I suspect they didn't even realize that they didn't understand what they seem to not have understood.

The last time I served on jury duty was a year and a half ago. It was a criminal case that was based on circumstantial evidence. Both the judge and the Prosecution said repeatedly "This is a CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE case. There is no DNA, no fingerprints, no blood, etc. etc. Your decision will be made on the credibility of testimony." The judge even explained further, in simple terms, "who is the most believable." There were still a couple of hold-outs on the jury who insisted on hard, factual, tangible evidence!!! They also said the prosecution had not met the "burden of proof" because there was no DNA, even AFTER we had been told in advance there was no DNA. It took us over 12 hours and many questions to the judge to get them to understand how to reach a verdict based on CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence.

The Duckett payout cost NG nothing. The show paid for everything. As it would here. A cheap price for even higher ratings. NG cares about her bank book more then life. As even NG firmly stated in a book she wrote a couple years ago. I believe the line was - "I would never let a person or the truth get in the way of a good money making story. That is why they pay me the big bucks." Heck all her donations to these help groups is just a tax write off affair. And better rating. It might surprise you to know that her last 2 year contract was for 55 million dollars. That is a lot of bodies walked on and truths ignored.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

and I would love to see Casey prove she didn't murder Caylee. However, I also imagine she is libel proof, i.e. she has no reputation to damage so there was no harm. No one is going to sue anyone for believing Casey is a murderer. Plus, she could still be found responsible for the death in a civil case should a proper plaintiff come forward.

If she and her panel keeps calling Casey a murderer, after she was found in a court of law to be innocent, NG can most certainly get sued.

Technically for sure, NG can be sued. BUT, that would open the door for NG to prove her claim in court. As she brags endlessly, she has never lost a court case. Well she would have her own trial of Casey in a court case against her. Thus no chance of it happening. Liable has that kicker of allowing a person to prove their statements.:rocker:

With slander or libel you have to prove any claimed damages. Good luck with that one if you're Casey. The fact she is so hated would be hard to blame on NG.

Does anyone know what would happen if one or more of the Jurors came out and said they were bullied into voting not guilty?

You should ask in the legal question area. But I believe I have heard a few TH's including Judge S say they would have to have been coerced into their verdict and that it would be fraud also.. there ARE ways it can be overturned, its up to the jurors to come forward if they feel they should.

I said the fact that other people had "access" to the car was going to help her and GA picking the car up and not reporting the smell was huge and here he is saying it all. I'm just sick for GA I just think he couldn't fathom in the beginning that he raised a murdered and I can really relate to that. I have tried so hard to quit obsessing about this but these jurors and their uneducated press conferences just tick me off. I swear I hope I never have to depend on a "jury of my peers...."

What lesson? Don't ask a mother whose child is missing where all she was with him on the day he went missing? I saw that show and NG asked completely appropriate questions. Wish someone had gotten a hold of Casey early on and ask her to account for her movements on June 16.

I'm forcing myself to watch this. Will NOT watch when CM gets on. I know I stopped and stared at the tv during this but here's what I typed from part 1 of Greta with jury foreman:


PT opening - it was very shocking
With what they presented thought it was pretty standard.
Showed pictures that would stay with you for life realized how seriour it was


When DT got up they started throwing out things that we did not know.
We had to sit back and let it soak in and see where it went from there.


Had to look at the pictures - had to take notes

Duct tape - skull was a major focus at times
As far as on the skull, there was one area where it was connected and that was with the hair -
Over the mouth and nose was one interpretation.

PT thought that was showing the purpose was for suffocation.
Explained the vicinity of the duct tape
Tape was aged - Didn’t believe it was placed later

Could tell you where the tape was placed in vicinity to hair -
The tape was more attached to the side, as it got up to the top it was more detached

With decomp and time passing, knew the vicinity of where it was, but didn’t know exactly where
Knew where in relation from the skull

Tape came from wherever they store tape at the A home
Very distinctive tape - made in ohio

On posters
On gas can

How did body get there?
We know obviously it was dumped there
a lot of gray area that goes from june 15th to when the body discovered
a lot of speculation as to how it got there who took it there a lot of questions in that regard
Don’t know how she got there or who but ultimately the body ended up there

Never convinced how she died

All speculation - there’s a number of ways she could’ve died
Possibility of chloroform
Pool a couple feet away from the doors - picture of her opening
Ladders she could’ve climbed up herself
a lot of children in florida die that way
But we don’t know the cause of death.

Chloroform search - myspace or face book win her over with chloroform and google search was the next day on desktop
You can speculate - here it is - boyfriend posted it - the next day I want to know what chloro is

Nothing about making chloroform - was internet search Something in greater amounts - we were limited

Chloro is detectable in other products
Wasn’t enough for us to bring chloroform into it
Smaller levels in the trunk
Google searches
Wasn’t on steering wheel, door handle of the car
Even if it was, nothing on who or where

With cindy - the lying wasn’t as obvious to me
On medication and she’s been questioned a number of different times
As far as her lying - that wasn’t something we considered much going into deliberation

Cindy said Car smelled of death - did you credit what she said - believe decomposed in trunk?
Smell some police noticed and some not
Problem he had was the day everything went down in july, the car was there
People were going in and out of the garage and the car was there
If it was something that obvious, George said he smelled it before -
Some smelled it some didn’t
There’s evidence that there could be decomp in there
But we were looking at the cause the ehow and the who
And other people had access to the car - more than one key
Don’t know who put there

Didn’t understand at the tow yard - George’s rationale - here it is you haven’t seen 2 family members - make comment there’s the smell of decomp - you’re a police officer you know what causes smell - but you get in the car aand drive it home - him not calling casey at that time if she’s alright or what’s going on here, it raises a lot of questions, it really does.

During the trial I thought CA was trying to help (I)CA more than anyone, but listening to these people talk GA did more to get her off. This still sickens me, I need the 12 step program please.......
