Just saw the perp walk...as the reporter said, he walked right past her looking defiant, head held high, shoulders back with no shame. She said it was absolutely chilling.

That's kinda what I figured, but don't the usually get them "dressed" downtown too? Take your clothes and any possessions you have, check them in and give you your new designer orange jumpsuit? I didn't think they did that at stations, only the jail.

I think you are right, not normal procedure. I think this was a special "dressing down" for the benefit of the community, media and everyone. Many people have been worried and on edge knowing this murderer was roaming around our community, at his will. It probably would have been harder to orchestrate downtown with the parking situation, and the way intake is set up. Maybe a little bit of a shame walk for MS as well, showing him that its OVER and he is going to face justice. It seemed like he ate up the attention though. No remorse in his face, worry for the girls, nothing. Just a smug smirk on his mug. Man I have never wanted to reach through my computer so bad and smack someone before in my life. What a

All I've read in the articles is they don't know where the girls were taken, but in the video at this link it says they were also taken to the Lee County Sheriff's office.

Thank you Sheriff Scott, along with Detectives Lebid and Downs who escorted MS on his perp walk. Echoing SMS in thanking all of the Lee County Sheriff's team, Major Crimes Unit, forensics, and all of LE for their oustanding body of work and commitment to seeing this case through to its conclusion.

This is a high profile case and he was brought into the Sheriff's Office itself for whatever reason. I'm glad SMS got to see him first and probably read the arrest warrant to MS (JMO).

Now if someone is being questioned at the Sheriff's Office and they decide to arrest them there, they are changed into a jumpsuit and taken to the jail to be booked and kept in custody.

A sneering Mark Sievers was walked out of the Lee County Sheriff's Office headquarters shortly before 5 p.m. in a jailhouse jumpsuit, and transported to the Lee County Jail.

i am not surprised, that is the reaction i would expect from MS, given what we have learned about him, from people who knew him
