I'm available for set ups with cool guys. Fyi. ;)

For realz thanks for the love guys. You're the wind beneath my wings (and today, my heels). :seeya:
I"m working my way backward through the questions now.

Your rock!

I hope you informed Juan that just because you said you'd take care of his friend... That doesn't mean there is anything "official" going on....with a wink;)

Fabulous job, as usual, Katie.

Which juror do you think asked the *advertiser censored* question?

Re JA's mom reacting to JA's comments about their difficult relationship - the camera switched to her mom immediately after the question was answered, and I was intently watching her for the slightest reaction. There was nothing. Not even a twitch. She was completely unreactive. I was watching for even the tiniest micro-expression of sadness, or resigned agreement, but nothing. She was as detached as her daughter. There are big issues between them. IMO.

Casey Jordon said on Dr. Drew that she felt the jury was mocking JA and that is exactly how I read it. I interpreted the *advertiser censored* question, the question about treatment for her mental illness, asking if she'd ever been medicated, and there were some others I've already forgotten, as indirectly telling her they are on to her. It was a means to call her a *advertiser censored*, tell her she's mentally ill and that she needs medication, in the form of questions.

Hi there! First time posting.
First of all, Just wanted to say thank you KCL. I started visiting this site just to read your observations. I love to know whatever I can about what the jurors are thinking.
I saw Jean Casarus say on Nancy Grace that they jurors were "On the edge of their seats." and "hanging on every one of Jodi's words." Which had me concerned. You say the you saw the opposite right? I'm hoping she was just trying to drum up the intensity, perhaps for vierwers.

People, including me, are respectful and polite. All I can tell you is in many ways things are very different in person than on TV/online (anyone who has ever online dated knows what I mean). Her family seems much less ...what is the word....offensive...in person. Unpopular as it may be I will always do my best to keep it real. I feel compassion for them. Esp today after she was pretty sh***y to them on the stand. Her Mom I mean. The one who sits there day after day in court being ignored by her sociopathic daughter. That has got to be grueling.

Same here, I'm always civil to her when we cross paths, usually in the bathroom. :-)

I wonder if she's shell shocked by her daughter's crime and doesn't know how to act in the courtroom.
Did she start out believing ja's story only to realize it's all lies and now she's seeing ja for what she is???

There is something weird between her and ja. SA is there supporting her day after day and ja doesn't so much as give a look in her direction.

I've noticed when ja goes back to the defense table she never looks at her mother. No smile, no wave, nada.

It's not like she isn't allowed, she looks around to other areas of the room.

I've sat behind her mother and aunt a couple of times.

Katie, what is your opinion of Poquito. He seems to be an enigma?

Oh not an enigma at all. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He's been ready to check the guilty box for weeks. he's been over this crazy murderer for some time now. That's my opinion (and that of many others). I love him..he's really transparent. And he has pierced eyebrows.

You're exactly right PASA. And it kind of is embarrassing and heartbreaking at the same time. She's making a huge investment in this lying sociopath only to get dissed and dismissed right and left. but how would she feel about herself for the rest of her life if she didn't show up? I doubt she will visit her in prison.

Thanks so very much for reporting back to us.

I'm curious if the attorneys are taking notes during the questions.

(PS: Hubs and I race to see who can get into their comfy clothes first whenever we get home, LOL!)

I didn't see much note taking either side during the juror questions.

katie - what did Juan say to you when he tapped you and smiled? I can't find your post about this, sorry.

Katiecool

Don't want to interrupt the flow of the thread, but desperate for an answer. At the end of the day when the jury left, did Jodie have a hizzy fit at the defense?

Not at all. I watched her over there and she was calm and maybe even seemed pleased with herself. seriously.

I am going to throw another question in here. I was watching the live feed. When both Martinez, Nurmi and Willmott was at the front there seemed to be some laughter going on and everyone was looking at the side of the room the Jury would sit. It happened more then once but the Jury was not there and the sound for my feed had been turned off.

It's not important so if there is a lot of questions to answer please don't worry about it, but just out of curiosity I was wondering what was funny. I enjoyed seeing everyone up there laughing. :)

ETA: (was posting this question so it would not get buried in o/t discussion as before so I was not aware of the hand slapping post. ;) apologies)

You know I missed that joking entirely! I did see though at the end of the day, Nurmi walked with the Mit Spec across the street from the media trucks and people were holding up their cameras and he clearly knew it bedause instead of walking with his head forward, he kept turning his head strongly to the left facing the cameras across the street with a big smile.

Whatever.

Can't tell this from TV .. Katie, can the person in the witness box hear what's being said in side bar?

I'm not sure! They turn on that white noise and it's a bit away from the jury box so I'm just not sure. She just sits there sociopathic vacant staring not seeming like she's hearing it but then again we know she's an expert stealth snooper.

I think Poqiuto is the one giving ALL the juror questions, its' those quiet, sleepy one you have to worry about. :floorlaugh:

Have you noticed... does Poquito wear a wedding band? I know you said he was young.

Thanks KCL, once again, it is so nice to read or be privileged to read your insight from behind the scenes. I loved today and I am confidant that JA will get Murder 1, at minimum after the jury questions. They were way better then I thought imaginable, and gave me answers to some of my own questions. Bravo Jury.

My funny ? beside the *advertiser censored* one, was the ? about her having a scrambled head, I lol.

Did you seek professional help for your mental condition? JA answers I feel I have no mental issue, or memory problem. :what: ???

One question for you, there was one time before the jury came in and JA was on the stand for a while. I can't remember weather it was tech difficulties, or what. She stared right into TA family for a long time, it scared me. It was that direction - did you see it?

I loved that jurors made it clear they had no faith in her answer and made sure they had a follow up ie: If you answer yes or no, then explain.

Let the closing - begin. I have faith.

BBM, no I didn't see that today...sorry!

Wow...that is freaky! He's still in prison right? Or is he out already? Sad story. My friend Paul Rubin covered it and thought it was a wrongful conviction (we don't agree). I thought he was a wild narcissist. Sad story...another LDS story. I guess Juan is an expert on LDS now huh?

Looks like he gets out next year. He's down in Douglas, AZ

I overheard the gal say she she trained with him and he was egocentric, I think is the word she used. I didn't hear much more. Someone else came up and the topic changed. Could have been Gypsy Woman invading everybody's space "again". :)

I think he is guilty, and he got off easy with manslaughter.

I think with his experience with LDS defendants in the past Juan knows if ja is lying about their practices.

I was asked if I was LDS today. :)

There was another woman trying to get inside and every time the security guy came out (dark hair, suit, very nice) she was bugging him to get in.
Another gal was about to give her a verbal beat down... Interesting goings on today. LOL!!

katie - what did Juan say to you when he tapped you and smiled? I can't find your post about this, sorry.

He asked if his friend of 20 yrs could sit in the seat next to me and if I'd "take good care of him". :)
