Thank you, Anita and Katiecoo. I have been enthralled by your observations and appreciate you taking the time

You're so welcome!!! It really is my pleasure, it's really fun to recall it all! And you all were seriously with me; I was looking around thinking about what things you'd want to know the answers to, and how LindaNJ would be so disgusted with me for sitting on the dark side and how I forgot my damn wooden spoons.:seeya:

If the magazines were confiscated at the jail when Jodi tried to pass them to her visitor, would the jail contact the County Prosecutor's office with the info & keep the magazines for them? I'm assuming it's illegal to pass concealed notes from prisoner to visitor--would Jodi's defense also be informed of the incident, or is there only a duty to the prosecutor? TIA!

Please go! I would love to read your take on the trial from the courtroom point of view.

Yes, please do. It would be interesting hearing it through another lawyers eyes.

JA's defense attorney's seem to be getting a bad wrap, What are Nurmi and Jodi's female lawyer really like outside of the courtroom?

I highly doubt they are stoked to be representing a murderer. JMO.

defense attorneys have a job to do, even if they are doing a not so good job of influencing the jury. JMO.

Hey guys. Not trying to be yucky, but let's keep this thread uncluttered from posts other than the reports from our insiders. Otherwise it will be so hard finding their posts. Does that make sense? Dont want to be a party pooper.

totally makes sense - thank you. alas, it didn't work. Yeah, I get it that people want to say thank you to the insiders...but it's no fun wading through 11 pages of posts - I just want some info -

One last thought and I promise I'll leave this thread alone!

While watching The Bear (Nurmi) in court; it occurred to me that his style, sloooow, drawn out is because he is such a big, imposing guy. He could be very off-putting in a threatening way and as a defense attorney, I think this is way of being perceived as more "gentle" for lack of a better word. I shared my thought with Ben, the defense attorney who we met yesterday (he worked with Nurmi in the public defender's office) and he seemed to agree. Ben, by the way, if you were watching the gallery, was the handsome young black guy sitting in the row behind the defense table.

Your insights have been awesome to read! Keep on adding them as you remember them! And thank you SO much for giving us "faces" for the jury! Love your writing style!

Am I in too much of a hurry to name Jodi FJA?
Or maybe MMMJA...for "Mark My Words Jodi Arias...The jury has convicted you!"

Seems appropriate to Me!

Kirk Nurmi smiled at me outside of court, near the elevators. I smiled at him, first. He knows he's a pariah; I feel bad for the guy. I noticed him gently adjust Wilmot's chair when she got in it and it turned a little. Again, I found some endearing qualities in him.

I just want to say for the record that the camera adds 50 lbs and 15 years. I am actually 100 lbs and 28 years old! ;) I haven't seen it, just heard it and I'm mortified that I used the word "disseminate" when I meant "dissect"! But in my defense, I had JUST MET BETH KARAS and my head was spinning!

Thank you for the compliments! You guys are easing my discomfort! :seeya:
Ah, lol. I thought you meant "decimate." Great job, btw, and thank you so much for these amazing notes.

All of this California talk reminds me... during her testimony I remember thinking "who drives to Salinas to get their nails done... if you want cheap just go to seaside, then catch the 68 over. Why risk driving all the way then not getting an appointment so late in the day.

I can't wait till juan tells us on Monday what happened in Salinas!

My guess is hair dye, nails, and booty-wax. She may have known someone working at the salon and was able to get in on short notice??

I'm from Calif and familiar with the area, been there a number of times, many moons ago.

Anything related to Mr. Juanderful, no matter how minor it may seem! :blushing: :heartbeat:

He is soooo freaking handsome! (Which you already knew.) He's got so much energy in that body/mind. I saw him get off the elevators in the morning and literally a collective "ahhh" went out from the (mostly) female spectators. Sort of like he was a Beatle! :floorlaugh:

I'll think about it, and post more if they come to mind!

Thanks for saying something nice about Nurmi.....even though he drives me nuts, someone has to do the job he's doing.

While I'm not a fan of the defense team, that was very, very kind of you to post this about Nurmi. I realize he's doing a job that's been assigned to him, which I tend to forget, and your very nice post reminded me that he is human and has feelings too... thank you!

This is prolly a dumb question...but ive only seen trials on TV...am I right in assuming that the feeling of "drama" is *less* when you are in the actual courtroom (then when you are seeing it on Tv with close-ups, dramatic music at commercial breaks, etc....)? Does that make sense? :what:

Although I would imagine when Juan was finally 'unleashed', the overall atmosphere change was palpable

IMO the jail would contact the prosecutor only. If any restrictions were placed on JA as a result, then presumably she would have known she was caught too. Or when her visitor Ann C. showed up and Jodi (I assume) asked her, "Hey, did you get those magazines I sent?" then Jodi should have known at that point that she had been caught.

In any event, the defense team would have had copies of the magazines before trial and should have read through them.

Gosh, it would be fun if the whole crowd waiting would just bust out "Good Morning, Mr. Martinez!" in a really friendly, perky fashion! :seeya:

It would prolly make his whole day!

Come to think of it, I'd prolly call out "Good Morning, Mr. Nurmi!" too! :fence:

Interesting, based on what I noticed about her dirty fingers. Not to be unpleasant or rude, but the skin around her fingernails (chewed very short, like mine) was very dark/dirty. Sooty comes to mind.

Thanks for the info, Shan!

I like working on my car and I do not trust mechanics.
As a woman, I get a lot of weird stares and stuff when I work on my car.
Other people make me feel very self conscious about the grime on my hands that won't come off.

Artists also tend to have permanently dirty hands.
