Mamma Mia - Dancing Queen Karaoke Instrumental with lyrics - YouTube

“Semantics Queen”

You can lie, you can die, having the time of your life.
See that girl, watch her fail, thinkin’ she’s the semantics queen

On the stand now take it slow,
That way the answers you will know…..
Think you got the answers just right, then Juan puts up a fight,
You can’t defeat the memory King!
Narcissism is your high,
Fake verbal verbosity and evil eyes
Spectacles, memory loss and cryin sighs
You’re in the mood to dance
It will be your last chance

You are the lyin’ queen, shaven clean, even in between, oh yeah….
Lyin queen, feel that beat from the prosecution king

You can lie, you can die, having the time of your life.
See that girl, watch her fail, thinkin’ she’s the semantics queen

Semantics Queen! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

<snipped for space>

An attorney told her the call to Flores would be taped? A PPL attorney? Where was this atty when she was arrested and talking ad nauseum?

Must have been late in the day so her atty wasn't handy!! (Just like Gus! LOL ~ sorry, couldn't resist!!)

Just now reading through your notes and so far these are the best posts to date!! I am so excited to hear about the activity in the jury question box!! I.CAN'T.WAIT!!!!!!!! :great:

Ok, back to reading your notes now...

New here as a participant, but I've very much enjoyed reading all the input from the courtroom observers. Very jealous of your ability to see this community theater production in person, starring the world's most unconvincing actress "The Thing That Calls Itself Jodi Arias". I'm ashamed of how hooked I am on this Cirque de Surreal. If I lived a little closer, or didn't care so much about my marriage, I'd hop on a plane and get in line. I'd love to just stare daggers at the swamp creature on the stand for a few hours. I think it would be hilarious if everyone in the gallery adopted the VonTrapp pose and stare directly at the creature as it attempts to make mind contact with the jurors, who no doubt already have their first ballots filled out. I happened to be looking at an online story about this case, featuring a picture of the beast with the herd of daddy long legs attacking her forehead, and one of my three year old twin daughters asked me: "Daddy, who's that..?" I said: "Jodi Arias", and she said "Jay *advertiser censored*?" I smiled and said: close enough."
I have become so in awe of Juan Martinez's masterful cross examination technique. A lesser prosecutor would have gotten thrown off stride by the creature's inability to utter simple answers without unnecessary and self-serving asides, editorial comments and snarks. The beast reminds me so much of Regan, the little girl who was possessed by the devil in The Exorcist, when she was having her first tete-a-tetes with the priests, trying to get into their heads. I'm certain the Girl Who No Guy Wanted or Could Stand for Any Length of Time can probably turn its head 360 degrees and throw up pea soup on command. He is being extremely methodical in his approach to the evidence, and has knowingly allowed Jay *advertiser censored* to up her level of condescension and nastiness so that the jury forgets about the timid little school marm Sasquatch Nurmi tried to portray her as. I may even have a man crush on JM. As for the butcher of Mesa, if I thought she would feel it I would punch my computer screen every time they get a close up of her way-too-close-together shark eyes trying to stare down this skilled prosecutor. I envy you first person observers: what a trip it must be to be in that atmosphere. I have to hand it to the Alexander siblings: can't even imagine what it has to be like to be forced to sit just a few feet away from the waste of skin that killed your cool and successful brother and see her perpetuating the hurt with character assassination against a man who can't rebut her. On this, JM is Travis' voice, and he is speaking beautifully.

:welcome: from the late night crowd!!!!!!!!!

Just as an FYI, you will get corrected by a moderator as your are against TOS by the name you have done for Jodi. WS is VERY VERY strict on that. Don't feel bad if you have your post corrected by a mod and a "reminder email" sent to you.

Just sayin''''''''' we aren't like other threads and try to keep that stuff down as to emotion.

Again.......... :grouphug: :welcome:

Thanks so much Katie for your observations!....and all the other WSers in the courtroom!

BBM

I did. She's the only one that really made me feel nervous. Her whole body was turned to face Jodi. It might have stood out to me because that body language specialist lady was talking about "navel intelligence" and how it shows trust, etc. Maureen took a lot of notes and I never saw her turn away from JA. I wasn't looking at her the whole time, obviously, but I never saw her turn to face JM. :waitasec:

Does she glance at jodi as she walks in or out of the courtroom? Because if she does not, then i am not that worried. I feel anyone who believes jodi at this point has to be mentally not all there. Sorry. I'm assuming none of the jurors have this issue.

BOMBSHELL:

Here he comes with CD of the FLores phone call.

This methodically dismantling every bit of her story.

She's soliciting gun info w/ him while sticking with her not being there where a gun in her or his possession would be meaningless to her.

No he didn't keep handguns. (that's the BOMBSHELL)

Jock guy on the back row taking notes re: this phone call.

Her voice gets breathy after Flores phone call..seems she gets nervous when big stuff comes out so she reverts to seduction.

Poquito is like "lets' get this thing over with already". He's done with her lies (obviously just my projection).

"Back in June 10 2008 you didn't know what your defense was gonna be did you?" I wrote BOMBSHELL next to that too.

Ok now I need an italian ice break...more to come.

Does it seem like Poquito may have a back ache? Or is he trying to sleep without showing his face?

I've not seen the jurors making eye contact with ja. They look in her direction when she is testifying, they look at Juan, take notes, and look down.
The jury appears focused, not showing emotion, eye rolling, .etc.

IMHO most of the talking heads are pot stirrers. It's about ratings. Beth Karas is the best, she is credible and a great reporter.

ja is an out of control client. She's going to do it her way and to heck with the two sitting at the defense table. It's her show, not theirs. I honestly feel she's ignoring her attorneys advice.

Welcome to Websleuths, btw. :)

I 100% get this sense.

P.S., what about Maureen and the lady next to her with the red shoes. Other observers have said thy look at jodi when she testifies. What is your take?

That is obvious that she was collecting evidence to ruin him. He basically went head-to-head with her ... said he was gonna expose all of her psycho ways ... so she couldn't have that and murdered him. He said she was the worst thing that ever happened to him and that she was a sociopath ...

freakin' psycho ... I hate her. God bless Travis and his family :heartbeat:

I have requested a thread for support for his family as WS'ers have pointed them here and hate for them to see this stuff. We did an isolated thread with FCA (who did not deserve it :banghead::banghead::banghead:) and wish we had one here. Perhaps that will happen for the family.........until then....they will just have this thread or another to peruse which has photos of their dead brother, us discussing how he dies etc. AAAACK!

Does it seem like Poquito may have a back ache? Or is he trying to sleep without showing his face?

No not trying to sleep at all. I think it's more discomfort sitting in the chair maybe and maybe boredom? He does walk a little stiff and seeing that's my job to evaluate that kind of thing I'm going with option 1. ;)

THey are more turned toward her in the chair which Janine Driver asked us to look for. Others also look her way at times. Interestingly the two closest to her never look at her anymore. Maybe they fear snakes will sprout out of their heads and they will turn to stone. No disrespect to Medusa.

see above ;)

3. What, besides Cinnabons and pop rocks, are you thinking about for your last meal?

Since you've adapted to a "T", Felon Casey Anthony's penchant to lie, murder and destroy families, where exactly did you choose to place YOUR Bella Vita tattoo?

I'm curious if JA looks at her mother. I would imagine my daughter would be looking at me trying to draw strength from me.

Of course if JA were my daughter, I may be the one on the stand for murder.

She almost never looks at her mother. Never when she's on the stand, she mostly has that long stare to nowhere. Occasionally she looks toward the gallery side where Travis' family sits. It's hard to tell who she's looking at as the media is there also.

When she returns to her seat at the defense table I've not once seen her glance at her mother. She returns to get right in to some animated discussion w/ her attorneys.

When Anita was there we noted as JA was taken out of the courtroom, she glanced back in her mother's direction . Her mother was busy in conversation with someone, maybe the mitigation specialist. Who knows if JA was trying to catch that person's eye or her mother's but she didn't pause or anything..she just kept right on walking out of the courtroom.

Her mother however stares intently right at her. Which imo based on her own behavior, she does not deserve.

Yesterday (Tuesday) when ja came back to the defense table I noticed her looking towards the back of the room. Her eyes were above the level of her mother. She stares off into space like her family isn't even in the room. No smile, no look, nada. Very strange, IMHO. Her mother has been there every day supporting her and she can't manage to look at her mother and at least acknowledge she's there?

There is some history there, I'm convinced of it.

3. What, besides Cinnabons and pop rocks, are you thinking about for your last meal?

Toblerone, tootsie pops, Starbuck's strawberry frappuccino, something from filibertos. :) She didn't mention what, just that she'd pick up something from Fili B's for her and Travis in one of the text messages shown in court yesterday.

Katie, as always, your notes and observations are top notch! I am suddenly feeling more confident about Maureen and Ponytail. KBisMe posted the body language stuff and covering the mouth shows they don't believe what is coming out of the speaker's mouth. I specifically recall Maureen doing that during the child *advertiser censored* testimony! There was so much I wanted to comment on as I read through your notes, but I'm on the dang phone & it's hard! Oh! The "we" when she started the trip was her sister. Apparently she dropped her sister off before she met up with MattM & his roommate.

Hi KCL, PASA, and all our awesome court observers!

I have a question: Some of us are BUGGED by the chronic COUGHING that is going on in the courtroom.

I semi-seriously smell a *Coughing Conspiracy* to throw Juan Martinez off his game (as if that were possible.......riiiiight).

Is the coughing noticeable to you?? Or are we (me) just old and cranky?

Why doesn't the bailiff give the hackers the boot????

Love Love Love your insider coverage!! Thanks!!!!

Yes, the coughing is noticeable in the courtroom. It's different people coughing at different times. ja's aunt was coughing on Tuesday.
I brought cough drops and have been using them. :)

:)

I did notice her mom cry last week and attimes this week she looked like she was getting pizzed at jodi with some of her answers like when talk about when her mom came for a visit,,its like a light was going off and she is starting to think about just what her daughter is and is doing

I noticed Maureen with her hand under her chin like the "thinker". A couple of others were doing it as well. Is that the same, in body language terms, as hand covering the mouth?

Ponytail man (Biker Bob) was paying close attention on Tuesday. I didn't have any concerns about him. Poquito looks like he is ready to convict her.
Whoops, I think you were talking about ponytail gal... sorry. :)

I wasn't there today.

They look in her direction but I don't see any "connection" when they do. Mostly their heads going back and forth watching Juan, then looking at ja.
It's kind of like watching spectators at a tennis match. :)

Idk if this has anything to do with the courtroom coughing, obviously, but there's a "thing" going around in the valley characterized by persistent coughing without significant symptoms other than feeling carppy. I've had it and so have my kids and most of my co-workers. I had to close my bedroom door two nights ago 'cause of dd's coughing. Yet she has no fever and no other symptoms :::shrug:::

I made up a digital replica of the ribbon the family and friends of Travis wear in the courtroom.

If anyone would like to put it in their siggy to show support for Travis and family, you're welcome to snag it.
I've seen two styles, one with pearls, the other rhinestones. So I made both styles.
